Mystical Vietnam: On the Northern Path
Day 1 Hanoï
Our team will welcome you at the airport and introduce you to the vibrant city of Hanoi. You have a day of great sightseeing ahead of you from the gorgeous Epee Lake to the Ngoc Son Pagoda into the Old Quarter and more. In the afternoon, we’ll discover more of Hanoi delights such as the Temple of Literature—Vietnam’s first university. By late afternoon, we’ll be on the shores of West Lake reflecting the majesty of Tran Quoc, Hanoi’s oldest pagoda before enjoying an evening on the town.
Day 2 Hanoï - Vu Linh

We’ll roar out of the city on our Vietnam motorbike tours and into the beautiful Vietnamese countryside. We’ll wind through gorgeous rice fields and observe the Tam Dao mountain massif. We’ll then ramble towards Lake Thac Ba through tea plantations that dot the foothills. Soon, we’ll be on the waters of the lake discovery the gorgeous reservoir that provides that energy to Hanoi. We’ll explore islets and the coast and enjoy some swimming before spending the night in a lovely, traditional stilt homestay experience.
Day 3 Vu Linh - Bac Ha

Immerse yourself in Vietnam travel on the winding roads as we discover traditional villages encompassed in fields of acacias and eucalyptus. For lunch, we’ll dine near the marble architecture of Yen The before climbing the empty roads in the mountains. The views are beyond picaresque as we discover terraced rice fields and beautiful oases. At the end of the day, we’ll stop in Bac Ha to savor a delicious meal with the Tay Family and some of their traditional alcohol.
Day 4 Bac Ha - Marché de Bac Ha - Pan Hou

We woke early to discover the wonders of the Bac Ha market on our Vietnam motorbike tours. Here the black Dao, Nung, Giay and other peoples of the region gather to sell traditional goods like fabrics, crafts, and tobaccos from across the region. The market is a social gathering where locals gather to enjoy a cup of rice wine. Then we’re headed high into the hills stopping briefly to enjoy hikes in the rice fields discovering authentic villages. In the afternoon, we’ll rest at bungalow paradise perched in the hills.
Day 5 Pan Hou - Nam Dam
140 km
We’re curving through the mountains to the edge of the Chay River continuing our Vietnam tours. As we wind along the river and its tributaries, we’ll meet more of the locals and learn more about the mountain passes to the “door of heaven.” Although we end the day of riding in Nam Dam, you might be tempted to hit the trail roads to discover some of the hidden villages including those of the Long Tunic Dao people before enjoying a traditional meal at a local home.
Day 6 Nam Dam - Dong Van
100 km
We’re headed into the territory of the Blue Hmong who are famous for their gorgeous creations made of hemp on our Vietnam travel experience. Then we ride towards the Chinese border along the scenic passes of Dong Van. Today’s ride is simply unbelievable. Then we’ll visit the old city discovering the former Hmong palace who still lived there less than 100 years ago! Near Dong Van, you can enjoy more trail riding as well.
Day 7 Dong Van - Bao Lac

We’ll rev our engines and zoom up the summit to the incomparable Ma Pi Leng Pass. The limestone mountains span nearly forever in front of us in an amazing spectacle. We ride further to Bao Lake into the territory of the Tay and Dao people before making our way into Coc Xa of the Black Lolo. Here we’ll share the experiences of highly traditional community and discover the wonders of northern Vietnam.
Day 8 Bao Lac - Ba Be
150 km
We ride into the stunning Ba Be National Park which sits high in the mountains surrounded by limestone mountains and dense jungle created a truly mystical impression. The Dao, Hmong, and Tay all call this gorgeous region home and we’ll meet more of the local people here will savoring the beautiful nature. Then we head to the Hua Ma Caves which span over 1,500 feet long and contain many incredible formations. In the evening, we’ll spend the night in an ethnic Tay village to relax in peace and harmony.
Day 9 Ba Be
We begin today’s Vietnam tours on foot walking towards North Vietnam largest natural lake. Ba Be is a simply magical sight home to dense vegetation and a wide array of animals or who live near the shore. Get ready to see your share of bats too as we head into Puong Cave. We’ll enjoy a Tay style lunch in a local restaurant before heading to the Dau Dang Waterfall for a little relaxation. Then we cross the lake to discover An Ma island temple. Then we return to Pac Ngoi to enjoy another night in our homestay.
Day 10 Ba Be - Hanoï
230 km
We wave goodbye to our host family and ride back towards the city. The last day of our Vietnam motorbike tours is packed with 250 km of scenic landscapes, tea plantations, and so much more. We’ll savor one last local style lunch and arrive in the big city by the afternoon. We’ll then enjoy a delicious dinner together to toast our accomplishments on the road.
Day 11 Hanoï
