Gallup - Grand Canyon
Day ten of your Route 66 motorcycle road trip promises unforgettable scenery and some of the Mother Road’s most iconic landscapes. Leaving New Mexico behind, you enter Arizona and begin the day with a ride through the remarkable Petrified Forest. This prehistoric landscape, scattered with fossilized tree trunks and colorful desert formations, feels like a place frozen in time.
After exploring this fascinating natural wonder, you continue west along the legendary highway, surrounded by the vast open spaces and dramatic scenery of the American Southwest. While many groups choose to stop in Flagstaff or Williams, your journey takes you farther toward Holbrook and the famous Wigwam Motel, one of Route 66’s most emblematic historic accommodations.

Grand Canyon - Laughlin
Today offers one of the most memorable highlights of your Route 66 adventure. The day begins with an extraordinary helicopter flight over the Grand Canyon (subject to weather conditions and non-refundable). From the air, you will witness the immense scale of this natural wonder, as the Colorado River winds its way through dramatic rock formations carved over millions of years. Today, you ride toward your final destination: the end of Route 66 on the Santa Monica Pier. This legendary stretch is considered one of California’s classic motorcycle routes, climbing to more than 2,300 metres before descending toward the Los Angeles Basin and the Pacific Ocean.
As you approach the coast, the feeling of arrival becomes more powerful with every mile. After crossing the United States from east to west, riding through deserts, mountains, plains, historic towns, and legendary roadside landmarks, the Pacific finally appears on the horizon.
For many riders, standing beside the famous “End of the Trail” Route 66 sign on Santa Monica Pier is an emotional moment. Joy, pride, and a touch of sadness come together as you realize the scale of what you have accomplished. This is the end of a road trip that countless travelers dream of taking, and a memory that will stay with you long after the engines fall silent.
