Planet Ride IS A MATCHMAKING PLATFORM HOLDING A TRAVEL AGENCY LICENSE WITHIN THE MEANING OF ARTICLE L.211-1 OF THE FRENCH TOURISM CODE, and whose core activity is to promote motorised excursions around the world offered by carefully selected Specialist Partners.

As part of its activity, and in order to offer a wide range of services throughout the world, Planet Ride benefits from partnerships with local inbound tour operators in numerous regions [hereinafter the “Specialist Partners”], notably within its Planet Ride program (hereinafter the “Planet Ride Program”), available at: www.planet-ride.com.

Planet Ride is registered with Atout France’s Register of Travel and Holiday Operators (registration certificate No. IM075160031, issued on 12 April 2016).

Atout France—the French Tourism Development Agency—is an economic interest group supervised by the French Ministry of Tourism. Its head office is located at 79/81 rue de Clichy, 75009 Paris, France. Tel.: +33 (0)1 42 96 70 00.

In accordance with Article L.211-18 of the French Tourism Code, Planet Ride:
 (i) benefits from a financial guarantee from APST,
 (ii) is insured by GAN ASSURANCES under policy number 151.552.366 for Professional Civil Liability, and
 (iii) meets all professional aptitude requirements applicable to travel agencies operating in France.

5. APPLICABLE LAW

The Site and any dispute relating to its use—including any transaction made via the Site—involving Planet Ride, are governed by French law.

These legal notices, as well as the Site’s Terms of Use, are subject to French regulations applicable to consumer law, tourism law, distance selling, and internet commerce, including the Consumer Code, the Tourism Code, the Civil Code, Law No. 2004-575 of 21 June 2004 on Digital Economy Confidence (LCEN), the French Intellectual Property Code, and Law No. 78-17 of 6 January 1978 on Data Protection (“Informatique et Libertés”).

6. CNIL DECLARATION

Personal data processing carried out via the Site was declared under number 1852169 on 17 April 2015 to the French Data Protection Authority (CNIL).

7. PERSONAL DATA

In accordance with the French Data Protection Act, Planet Ride commits to respecting the personal data of users of the Site (hereinafter the “Users”), particularly within the context of quote requests, bookings, participation in tourist services, or any communication related to its professional activity.

Personal data refers to any information allowing the direct or indirect identification of a User, as defined in Article 2 of the French Data Protection Act.

Users may voluntarily provide such information (name, surname, telephone, postal or email address, etc.) when submitting an online quote request and, where applicable, a booking through Planet Ride.

PERSONAL DATA COLLECTED BY PLANET RIDE AS PART OF THE PLANET RIDE PROGRAM MAY BE USED BY PLANET RIDE, ITS EMPLOYEES OR SUBCONTRACTORS TO PROVIDE TOURIST SERVICES TO USERS, INCLUDING PROCESSING BOOKINGS MADE THROUGH PLANET RIDE OR RESPONDING TO ANY REQUESTS OR QUESTIONS RELATING TO THE SITE OR SERVICES OFFERED.

USERS ARE INFORMED THAT PLANET RIDE MAY DISCLOSE THEIR PERSONAL DATA TO THIRD PARTIES, SUBJECT TO THEIR PRIOR EXPRESS CONSENT OR IF REQUIRED BY LAW OR REGULATION.

Users’ personal data will be stored by Planet Ride strictly confidentially and used only for the purposes for which they were collected, in compliance with the French Data Protection Act.

Any other use of personal data will require the User’s prior consent.

IN ACCORDANCE WITH ARTICLES 38 ET SEQ. OF THE FRENCH DATA PROTECTION ACT, USERS HAVE A RIGHT OF ACCESS, RECTIFICATION, OPPOSITION, OR ERASURE OF THEIR PERSONAL DATA, WHICH THEY MAY EXERCISE BY CONTACTING PLANET RIDE AT THE ADDRESS PROVIDED IN THESE LEGAL NOTICES.

7.1 – Cookies

Planet Ride may install a cookie on the User’s device. A cookie does not allow Planet Ride to identify the User directly but records information relating to browsing on the Site. Cookies may be used to:

– compile statistics and traffic analysis to improve the Site;
 – track advertisement impressions and clicks for reporting and billing;
 – adapt Site display settings to the User’s device (language, resolution, OS, etc.);
 – customise advertising content;
 – remember information entered in forms or choices made during browsing;
 – grant access to reserved areas using login credentials.

Cookies are stored for one (1) year.

7.2 – Partner Sites and Social Networks

Users may access third-party partner sites via hyperlinks on the Site. These sites are not covered by this Privacy Policy. Users should refer to their respective terms.

The Site also uses social network plug-ins (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Google+, etc.). If Users interact with these plug-ins, information regarding their browsing may be transmitted to the social networks and used according to their privacy settings.

To prevent this, Users must log out of their social network accounts before visiting the Site.

7.3 – Third-party Cookies

While browsing the Site, third-party companies may place cookies on Users’ devices, subject to their prior choices.

These third-party cookies may be used to:
 – count impressions and interactions with advertisements;
 – identify the User’s device across multiple websites;
 – customise third-party content or advertising;
 – remember information entered in third-party forms.

7.4 – Forms

When submitting a trip request, Planet Ride collects:

– first and last name
 – desired destination
 – chosen vehicle
 – email
 – telephone number
 – travel dates
 – possession of a driving licence

When subscribing to the newsletter, Planet Ride collects the User's email address.

Some fields are mandatory; otherwise, Planet Ride may be unable to provide the requested service.

8. REMOVAL OF UNLAWFUL OR INAPPROPRIATE CONTENT

Planet Ride undertakes to remove any manifestly unlawful content that is duly reported under Article 6.I.5 of the LCEN Law of 21 June 2004.

Planet Ride also reserves the right to remove, as a precaution, any content that may be considered inappropriate or unlawful.
