After crossing the river by ferry to Banjul, the route continues to the wild Atlantic beach at Sanyang. It then heads south into Casamance, with stops in Kafountine, Ziguinchor and Cap Skirring. Baobabs, mangroves, bolongs and coastal scenery define the character of the journey.
