Blues Trail markers are scattered throughout the countryside, offering insight into the history of the blues and highlighting the places and events that shaped the genre and our understanding of modern music. We explore sections of the Natchez Trace and ride through vast cotton plantations. Along the way, we enjoy soul food, barbecue, and sweet tea. Before reaching our hotel, we visit the B.B. King Museum and Delta Interpretive Center, which pays tribute to the legendary blues artist born in the region. Tonight, we stay in Indianola and discover the local flavors of the Mississippi Delta.

Indianola - Memphis

Today, we continue our journey through the heart of blues country with a stop at Dockery Farms, known as the “Birthplace of the Blues,” to see where it all began. No Delta tour would be complete without a visit to Clarksdale to see the famous crossroads where, according to legend, Robert Johnson sold his soul to the devil in exchange for the ability to play the blues.
