Day 1
Day 1: Kochi
Upon your arrival at Kochi airport, the local team welcomes you and accompanies you to Fort Kochi. You take the time to settle into the hotel and let the trip sink in. Your motorcycle guide introduces the itinerary, hands you your roadbook and shares the first insights for this Royal Enfield adventure. This day gives you the chance to leisurely explore the surroundings or simply rest before you hit the road.
Day 2
Day 2: - Kochi - Changanassery - 100 km on the road
You begin the road trip gently, heading toward Changanassery and getting to know your Royal Enfield. The first kilometres run along the Malabar Coast and let you find your rhythm. The route crosses the backwaters of Kerala. You watch life unfold around the water and catch sight of Alleppey, known for its canals and boats. This leg ends in Changanassery, your first proper evening on the road.
Day 3
Day 3: Changanassery - Kumily - 110 km by road – 6 hours of travel
You continue your journey toward Kumily, on the border between Kerala and Tamil Nadu. Leaving the more densely populated areas, the route heads into more pronounced terrain. Spice gardens line the road. You pass through these iconic plantations and begin to fully feel the identity of this region of southern India. You arrive in Kumily at the end of the day, in a cooler, more verdant atmosphere.

Day 4
Day 4: Kumily – Munnar – 90 km by road – 4 hours of travel
You head to Munnar along a winding route that gradually climbs. The driving becomes smoother and the scenery opens onto hills covered with plantations. On arrival in Munnar, you discover a town closely linked to tea and coffee. You take time to explore its surroundings and observe the terraced plantations that shape the landscape. The evening unfolds in a peaceful atmosphere in the heart of the Kerala highlands.
Day 5
Day 5: Munnar - Kodaikanal - 180 km by road - 4 hours of travel
You leave Munnar on a long descent that takes you down to the plains around Coimbatore. The pace changes, villages follow one another and rural life naturally unfolds along the road. Then the journey resumes toward the Palani Hills. The curves tighten and the altitude climbs back up to Kodaikanal. You spend the night on an eco-farm, in a setting conducive to tranquility and sharing.

Day 6: - Kodaikanal - 50 km by road – 2 hours of travel
This day offers a welcome pause in the rhythm of the journey. You fully enjoy Kodaikanal's natural environment, surrounded by verdant hills and forests. The farm that welcomes you highlights local cuisine prepared from organic produce. Depending on your preferences, you can explore the surroundings on foot or on horseback, taking the time to observe and breathe.

Day 7: - Kodaikanal - Palakkad - 200 km by road – 7 hours of travel
You set off again for a contrasting stage. Leaving the highlands, you cross the plains before entering the state of Tamil Nadu. Along the way, the Palani temple appears on the landscape. The route then continues to Palakkad, located near the Palghat Gap, a natural passage between the hills. A varied day that links mountains and plains.
Day 8
Day 8: - Palakkad - Ooty - 160 km by road – 4-hour drive
You make your way to Ooty, crossing a rich and lively agricultural region. Coffee, cinnamon, cumin and nutmeg plantations punctuate the route. The climb up to the Nilgiri Hills is gradual. Tea plantations and eucalyptus forests herald the approach to Ooty, a hill station whose charm dates back to the colonial era. You soak up the atmosphere by the end of the day.

Day 9: - Ooty - Cheruthuruty - 180 km of road – 5 hours of travel
You leave Ooty via a downhill route, leaving behind the high Nilgiri plateaus. The road crosses Mukurthi National Park along narrower, winding stretches, offering a pleasant, immersive drive. At the end of the day, you reach Cheruthuruty, concluding a very natural stage.
Day 10
Day 10: - Cheruthuruty - Vypin Island - 120 km by road – 4-hour journey
You head toward the west coast. The scenery changes noticeably: rivers and dense vegetation gradually give way to sea air. You pass through Guruvayur, known for its major pilgrimage site, before following the coastline. Arrival at Vypin Island marks a return to the ocean and a more maritime atmosphere.

Day 11: Vypin Island - Kochi - 30 km on the road – 1 hour of travel
You leave Vypin Island along a route that alternates between gently rolling terrain and historic villages. Some still bear traces of the colonial past. As you reach the coastal plain, you follow beaches lined with coconut palms before returning to Kochi. This final day on the road offers a gentle transition toward the end of the trip.

You spend this final day discovering Kochi at your own pace. Stroll through the historic neighborhoods, observe local life and take the time to gently close out this trip. Depending on your flight time, the local team will arrange your transfer to the airport. The road trip comes to an end, leaving you with the feeling of having crossed southern India by road, close to its landscapes and rhythms.

The price includes
  • Rental of the Enfield 500 motorcycle (2010 or 2012 model depending on availability) and spare mechanical parts
  • Fuel
  • Ground transfers included in the itinerary by private vehicle
  • Supervision: a French-speaking motorcycle guide from Day 2 to Day 11
  • Assistance from a local team: mechanic and driver of the support vehicle for groups of 4 participants or more
  • A support vehicle for carrying equipment for groups of 4 or more people
  • Side luggage racks for groups of fewer than 4 people
  • Accommodation: comfort or standard hotels in double or twin rooms. Participants not travelling as a couple will share a twin room with another participant. If you wish to have a single room, please indicate this when registering
  • Half-board meals during the riding days (breakfast and one other meal)
  • The motorcycle is covered by third-party insurance

  • Mandatory insurance: repatriation and medical expenses insurance covering you in case of two-wheeler (large-displacement motorcycle) accidents in India, and legal assistance
