Day-by-day itinerary

Day 1
Day 1 - Chiang Mai
You arrive in Chiang Mai and are transferred to your hotel. This first day gives you time to slow down, recover from the journey and begin to soak up the atmosphere of northern Thailand. As you stroll through the city, you will quickly feel the contrast between urban bustle and spirituality. Temples, markets and alleyways offer a gentle first immersion before you set off. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 2
Day 2 - Chiang Mai - Chiang Dao - 110 km of roads - 4.5 hours of riding
You truly begin your motorcycle journey as you leave Chiang Mai through the vegetable-growing areas that line the Ping River. The first kilometres allow you to find your rhythm and gradually connect with the bike. The road then passes through rice paddies and climbs toward the forested hills leading to the Mae Taeng valley. The bends come naturally one after another and the riding becomes smoother. You arrive in Chiang Dao at the end of the day, situated at the foot of a mountain massif. The atmosphere is calmer there, ideal for concluding this first day in the saddle.

Day 3
Day 3 - Chiang Dao - Tha Ton - 130 km of roads - 5 hr 30 min driving
You continue northward through scenery marked by karst cliffs and teak forests. The road keeps pace with your progress, making the driving pleasant, almost instinctive. As you gain altitude toward Doi Angkhang, you feel the air cool and the vistas open up over the valleys. Each stop offers an opportunity to take in how far you've come. After a meal in a mountain village, you descend back to the Fang plain before reaching Tha Ton on the banks of the Kok River. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 4
Day 4 - Tha Ton – Golden Triangle - 110 km of roads - 4 hours' driving
You continue your journey close to the Burmese border. The mountain roads, lightly trafficked, require attentive driving and offer a genuine sense of freedom. Passing through Doi Mae Salong and the village of Santikhiri, you discover another cultural side of northern Thailand. Tea and coffee plantations line the route to the Mekong. By the end of the day, you reach the Golden Triangle region. The arrival marks a special moment of the trip, at the crossroads of several territories. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 5
Day 5 - Golden Triangle - Chiang Rai - 110 km
You get back on the road along the Mekong. The scenery opens up and riding becomes more relaxed. On arrival in Chiang Rai, you take the time to set your helmet aside and discover the region's cultural sites. This break, with no distance constraints, lets you catch your breath and balance the pace of the journey. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 6
Day 6 - Chiang Rai – Chiang Mai - 230 km of roads - 6h30 of riding
You begin the final major motorcycle stage of the tour. Leaving Chiang Rai, the route crosses forested areas and more pronounced terrain. A stop at Hayao, on the shore of its lake, allows you to take a break and admire the surrounding mountains. Riding continues on varied roads, sometimes punctuated by tracks, up to the Mae Kuang valley. As you approach Chiang Mai, you gradually encounter the urban buzz again. This last day in the saddle lets you appreciate how far you've come since day one. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 7
Day 7 - Chiang Mai -
You enjoy your final moments in Chiang Mai before transfer to the airport, according to your flight schedule. This last time gives you the chance to reflect on the roads you rode, the landscapes you passed through, and the sensations you experienced while riding. The journey comes to an end, but the Golden Triangle experience remains with you.
