Your Itinerary at a Glance

Product Detail Image From the French Riviera, you set off along the legendary Route Napoléon, gradually leaving the Mediterranean behind as you climb toward the Alps. The road winds through hilltop villages, sunlit valleys, and the first mountain passes, in landscapes steeped in history. Heading toward Sisteron and then Briançon, every bend seems to echo the passage of the Emperor. Chamonix follows as a striking stop, dominated by the iconic peaks of the Mont Blanc massif, before the route turns toward the Alpine lakes. All the way to Annecy, the mountains set the pace, with a succession of passes and high-altitude panoramas, for a journey where the pleasure of riding meets the grandeur of the Alps.

The stages of your motorcycle route

Day 1 - Cannes -
You arrive in Cannes, the starting point of this motorcycle trip through the Alps. The local team welcomes you and accompanies you on a first exploration of the town. You head to the Old Port, at the foot of Le Suquet, then stroll through the Forville market, a genuine concentration of local produce and flavors. This initial walk lets you immerse yourself in the Mediterranean atmosphere before hitting the road. At the end of the day, you enjoy a walk along the Croisette, facing the sea, to set the stage for the adventure ahead.
Day 2 - Cannes to Sisteron - 167 km - 4 hours of driving
You leave the French Riviera and head inland. The first kilometres on the road take you along secondary roads, ideal for gradually getting into the rhythm of the road trip. As the day goes on, you gain altitude and cross the Préalpes Natural Park. The scenery changes, the air cools, and the road becomes more alpine. You arrive in Sisteron, a town defined by its citadel and its strategic position between Provence and the mountains. Depending on your mood, you can take the time to explore or relax by the water before the evening.
Day 3 - Sisteron - Briançon - 154 km - 4 hours of riding
After breakfast, you continue your motorcycle journey towards the Southern Alps. The route begins with the ascent of Mont Colombis, reaching 1,738 meters, offering beautiful views over the surrounding terrain. You then join the Route des Grandes Alpes, an iconic route for motorcycle travel in the mountains. Crossing the Col d'Izoard is the highlight of the day, with a demanding layout and a characteristic rocky landscape. Arrival in Briançon marks a new stage in this alpine crossing.
Day 4 - Briançon - Val d'Isère - 136 km - 4h30 of driving
You leave Briançon to fully enter the high mountains. The day is punctuated by a succession of mountain passes and roads, where driving requires precision and anticipation. After the forests, you reach the alpine pastures. You share the road with herds and cyclists, in an open, lively environment. Before the final climb to Val d'Isère, you pass alongside the largest hydroelectric dam in France, a striking landmark in the Alpine landscape. You arrive at the resort at the end of the day.
Day 5 - Val d'Isère - Chamonix - 142 km - 3h45 of riding
You take the handlebars again for a stage linking two major Alpine valleys. The descent from Val d'Isère runs alongside the natural areas of Tignes and the Hauts de Villaroger, offering smooth and varied riding. You pass through Albertville, known for hosting the 1992 Winter Olympic Games, then continue on toward the Mont Blanc massif. Arrival in Chamonix comes at the foot of the highest peaks in the Alps, in a distinctly alpine atmosphere
Day 6 - Chamonix - Annecy - 195 km - 3h30 of riding
For this final day of the road trip, you leave Chamonix via winding roads that run along the ridges and Alpine valleys. The ride alternates between wooded stretches and open viewpoints, offering a beautiful cross-section of the landscapes you pass through. As you approach Annecy, the scenery gradually softens. You finish this motorcycle journey by the lake, in a calmer atmosphere, ideal for concluding this crossing of the Alps with mountain passes, mountain roads, and wide-open spaces.
