Then leave for a small visit of the Forville market, a must-see for Cannes, and discover the best local produce and artisanal products ! Finish your day with a walk along the mythical croisette beach and admire the setting sun as it dips into the Mediterranean sea.

Day 2 Cannes - Sisteron
167km - 4hrs of riding
From Cannes you head northwest towards the picturesque town of Sisteron. Traverse local and national roads under the Riviera sun. In the middle of the day, enjoy the views as you ride across the Pre Alp National Park. Upon your arrival at Sisteron, hike to the top and visit the panoramic citadelle or take a lazy stroll along the banks of the Durance river.

Day 3 Sisteron - Briançon
154kms - 4hrs of riding
Start your morning with a hearty breakfast and a strong coffee before leaving for Briancon, one of the highest cities in France! The first climb of the day will be towards Mont Colombis and its 1783 meter altitude where you can admire the magnificent view over the countryside. Next, join the road of the great Alps as you ascend towards the renowned cycling pass of Lzoard, infamous for its gruelling uphill stages in the Tour de France. Arrive in Briancon and settle in to your hotel. Then head out into the old city and explore its steep streets and numerous forts.

Day 4 Briançon - Val D'Isère
136kms - 4 1/2hrs of riding
Leave Briancon and it’s fortified old city in the direction of the renowned ski town of Val d’Isere, home to annual alpine World Cup events. The horsepower of your motorcycles are in for a rude surprise this morning as you climb your first mountain passes. Once you’ve passed the coniferous forests, arrive in the alpine pastures where you share the road with cyclists and herds of dairy cows. Finally, pass the Grand’maison hydroelectric dam, the largest in France, before starting the final climb towards Val d’Isere.

Day 5 Val D'Isère - Chamonix
142kms - 4hrs of riding
Get back on your bikes and head towards Chamonix, site of the first Winter Olympics in 1924. The day starts with a long winding descent along the natural reserves of Tignes and Hauts de Villaroger before arriving at Albertville, host of the 1992 Winter Olympics, and explore the different sporting venues that are still present. Your road continues until you reach Mount Blanc and the village of Chamonix nestled amongst the stunning backdrop of white alpine peaks!

Day 6 Chamonix - Annecy
195kms - 3 1/2hrs of riding
It’s the last day of your Alpine road-trip through the South-East of France. Leave Chamonix and descend along the serpentine road that brings you to the foot of the mountains. Here lies Annecy, your final destination. Head to the edge of the lake and dip your feet into the crystal blue waters, your motorcycle trip is finished !
