Day 1

Day 1: Kilimanjaro International Airport – Arusha – 55 km

Welcome to Tanzania. Upon arrival you will be met at the airport and transferred to your hotel, situated in a peaceful neighborhood of Arusha away from the bustle of the city center. Take time to settle in, enjoy the garden, the pool, and the unobstructed view of Mount Meru that towers over the town. In the evening you'll meet your motorcycle guide and the other riders for an initial briefing. Dinner is shared in a friendly atmosphere, perfect for getting into the rhythm of the trip.

Day 2

Day 2: Arusha – Matadi — 105 km

Your motorcycle adventure in Tanzania truly begins today. You collect your bikes and head for the foothills of Kilimanjaro, the world's highest freestanding mountain. You skirt the imposing Mount Meru (4,565 m) before, late in the morning, reaching your lodge set on the verdant hills of Matadi. This former 19th-century family farm provides an ideal setting for this first stop. The day concludes with a spectacular panorama over the highlands of northern Tanzania.

Day 3

Day 3: Matadi – Lake Natron - 230 km

You leave the vicinity of Kilimanjaro and enter the vast plains of northern Tanzania. astride your Royal Enfield Himalayans, perfectly suited to the terrain, you ride through the open savanna where it’s not uncommon to encounter giraffes, zebras, or antelopes. After a bush lunch, the route becomes more dramatic as you approach volcanic areas. On the horizon rises Ol Doinyo Lengai, an active volcano sacred to the Maasai. A few sandy stretches add to the day's intensity before you arrive at the lodge on the shores of Lake Natron.

Day 4

Day 4: Lake Natron circuit — 50 km

This day is devoted to exploring the shores of Lake Natron, in the immediate vicinity of the Kenyan border. You’ll set out to discover the gorges of the Ngare Sero River, where a refreshing stop beneath the waterfalls awaits. You then head to the lake’s eastern shores to watch lesser flamingos and numerous waterbirds, in a setting flushed with pink and blue hues. After lunch you visit a Maasai village before returning to your accommodation for the night.

Day 5

Day 5: Lake Natron – Lake Manyara — 120 km

A change of scenery today. You leave Lake Natron to descend into the Great Rift Valley. The route brings you close to Ol Doinyo Lengai and through a savannah dotted with cacti and umbrella acacias. The volcanic rock requires careful driving. As you pass several Maasai villages, you observe their way of life and exchange a few looks and smiles. At the end of the day you reach the shores of Lake Manyara, in a peaceful natural setting.

Day 6

Day 6: Lake Manyara – Ngorongoro Crater - 140 km

This stage is dedicated to exploring the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. After breakfast you ride to the park entrance, leave the motorcycles and board a 4x4 vehicle. You descend into the heart of the crater, a UNESCO World Heritage site, and observe exceptional wildlife in a unique ecosystem. Wildebeest, zebras, lions, elephants, rhinoceroses and flamingos populate this spectacular setting. Lunch is enjoyed overlooking this rare panorama, before returning to the lodge by motorcycle in the late afternoon.

Day 7

Day 7: Lake Manyara – Lake Eyasi – 130 km

You begin a more technical day of driving, alternating between fast tracks and sandier sections as you head toward Lake Eyasi. Depending on the group's progress, you’ll reach your lodge in the late morning or early afternoon. The afternoon is devoted to a circuit around the lake, located at the foot of the Great Rift Valley. You’ll observe colonies of pink flamingos and encounter local communities living in this remote area. Overnight at the lodge.

Day 8

Day 8: Lake Eyasi – Lake Burunge — 125 km

You start the day on winding tracks before joining faster roads. Some sections require demanding driving, sometimes forcing the support vehicle to bypass the most rutted areas. After lunch the route eases and passes through rural scenery south of Lake Manyara. By late afternoon you reach your lodge at Lake Burunge, facing Tarangire National Park.

Day 9

Day 9: Lake Burunge – Arusha - 145 km

On this final day of riding, you take your time enjoying the kilometers that bring you back to Arusha. The scenery opens up and then gradually changes as you approach the city. You arrive mid‑afternoon and enjoy one last evening with the group, sharing a local meal and reflecting on the highlights of this Tanzanian adventure.

Day 10

Day 10: Arusha – Kilimanjaro International Airport - 55 km

Depending on your flight times, you'll enjoy a few more moments in Arusha before your transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport. The journey comes to an end, leaving you with memories of dramatic landscapes and a truly transporting motorcycling experience.
