You ride along the foothills of the Himalayas, in the heart of an India deeply shaped by spirituality. The route crosses the Kumaon and Garhwal regions, winding through pine forests, mountain roads, and sacred rivers that accompany the journey. Each stage leads to major temples and pilgrimage sites, alive with Indian devotion. As altitude increases, the peaks of the Greater Himalaya appear on the horizon and guide your progress. The journey ends in Haridwar, on the banks of the Ganges, where the river becomes a place of powerful rituals and spiritual gatherings.

Day 1
Day 1 - New Delhi
Upon your arrival at New Delhi International Airport, you will be met by a Planet Ride expert and transferred to your hotel in the heart of the capital. Once settled, you begin to feel India's unique energy. The afternoon allows you to discover, at your own pace, the first contrasts of New Delhi, between urban bustle, iconic monuments and scenes of local life. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 2
Day 2 - Delhi - Jim Corbett National Park - 270 km
You leave Delhi early in the morning in a private vehicle to reach the foothills of the lower Himalayas. As the kilometres go by, the urban hustle and bustle fades away and gives way to more open landscapes. On arrival, you take the handlebars for your first motorcycle orientation. This short hands-on session marks the true beginning of your Himalayan immersion. Overnight near the park, in a natural setting conducive to peace and quiet.
Day 3
Day 3 - Jim Corbett National Park – Sitla - 150 km
You start the day on your motorcycle, skirting the first foothills of the Himalayas. Altitude gradually increases as the road winds toward Nainital, then into the heart of Kumaon. Riding becomes smoother, the scenery more mountainous. You reach Sitla at the end of the day, in a region known for its orchards and peaceful atmosphere. Overnight in a comfortable hotel.

Day 4
Day 4 - Sitla – Binsar - 120 km
You travel through the rolling landscapes of Kumaon, alternating between forests, villages and open viewpoints. A stop at Kesar Devi breaks the journey before you continue to the Binsar forest, perched at over 2,000 meters above sea level. Here, the pace naturally slows. You can enjoy a wooded, peaceful environment, ideal for fully experiencing the Himalayas. Overnight on site.

Day 5 - Binsar – Kausani - 215 km
This day allows you to travel through the eastern part of the region, with wide panoramas of the Himalayan ranges. In clear weather, the peaks appear on the horizon, including Nanda Devi. After lunch, you take the time to walk through a Kumaoni village, in contact with preserved architecture and a traditional way of life. You arrive in Kausani at the end of the day. Overnight there, facing the mountain scenery.
Day 6
Day 6 - Kausani – Chopta - 195 km
The day's route is more demanding, with a series of bends that make the driving particularly engaging. Along the way, you'll stop in Gopeshwar to visit an ancient temple dedicated to Shiva. You then pass through the Kedarnath natural sanctuary before crossing the Chopta pass at 2,880 metres. The altitude, the cool climate, and the alpine scenery give this stage a truly Himalayan feel. Overnight in a campsite.
Day 7
Day 7 - Chopta – Narayankoti - 60 km
This day invites you to explore the region differently. You leave the motorcycle behind to go on foot, with two possible routes depending on your preference. The descent of the Mandakini valley leads you to the Ukimath temple, an important site for pilgrims. You reach Narayankoti at the end of the day and enjoy comfortable accommodation to recover. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 8 - Narayankoti – Kanatal - 225 km
You leave at dawn for the Kartik Swami temple, known for its commanding viewpoint over Uttarakhand. The day alternates between high-altitude driving, natural breaks and moments of sharing over an outdoor lunch. At the end of the stage, you reach Kanatal, perched on a ridge above 2,000 metres. Overnight stay on site, in an open, soothing mountain atmosphere.
Day 9
Day 9 - Kanatal - Mussoorie - 120 km
You traverse a long ridgeline, where riding becomes instinctive and fluid. Scenic vistas accompany every bend on the way to Mussoorie, a hill station established during the colonial era. In the afternoon you'll have time to explore the town, its atmosphere and its viewpoints. Overnight in standard accommodation.
Day 10
Day 10 - Mussoorie – Haridwar - 110 km
You gradually leave the mountains to reach Rishikesh, set on the banks of the Ganges. Here the river leaves the Himalayan gorges and enters the plain. The road continues to Haridwar, a major spiritual center of northern India. In the evening you attend the rituals on the ghats, a powerful, moving moment that invites observation and emotion. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 11 - Haridwar – Delhi - 230 km
You will travel to New Delhi by private vehicle. This day marks the transition from the Himalayas to the capital. Depending on the schedule, you'll have some free time to rest or make a few last discoveries before the end of the trip. Overnight in Delhi.

Day 12 - Delhi - International Airport -
Depending on your flight schedule, you’ll enjoy the atmosphere of New Delhi one last time before your transfer to the international airport. This motorcycle journey between the Ganges and the Himalayas comes to an end, leaving you with memories of an engaging, immersive itinerary deeply rooted in the landscapes and spirituality of North India.
