You, lover of ride and lover of bike of all kinds, the 10th edition of HARDALPITOUR 2018 (HAT) awaits you for new adventures! The perfect opportunity to travel on off-road tracks in autonomy and to meet the lovers of ride like you. From Friday 7 to Sunday 9 September 2018, you will leave for a trip of 3 days in the Alps of Piedmont and Liguria in the north of Italy for an unforgettable crossing!
At the motorcycle road trip program, the city of Sanremo in Liguria in the north of the country will be your starting point. Highly demanded during the 2017 edition by many riders, this high-potential Italian city is an ideal starting point for an immersive journey. Its beautiful beaches, its wide choice of restaurants and shops, its casino and its fascinating historical city centre will seduce you as it was the case for the participants of the HARDAPITOUR 2017.
If you like to ride in total freedom during a motorcycle road trip, this trip is for you! Once the villages of Pigna and Bajardo have passed, you will have the possibility to choose freely the routes allowing you to reach the places of assistance and appointments. An adventure in total autonomy awaits you!
For this HARDALPITOUR 2018, you will find the 3 categories of the HAT: The CLASSIC, the EXTREME and finally the DISCOVERY:
- The CLASSIC category reserves 550 km of crossing, of which more than half is off-road.
- The EXTREME category is the perfect blend for an unforgettable motorcycle road trip: 330 km of paved and off-road trails.
- The DISCOVERY category will start on Friday 7 September at night and will last 2 days. You will enjoy your bike alone or as a team of 2 riders on 900 km. The circuit of the first day will join the itinerary of the CLASSIC category, as well as the Sunday morning course.
These 3 categories will end in Sestriere on Sunday afternoons. This will be an opportunity to take stock of this exceptional adventure with the other participants of the HAT 2018.
What’s new in HARDALPITOUR 2018?
The HAT 2018 is a lot of surprises! On the programme of this 10th edition, an event dedicated exclusively to electric bikes is open to participants on Thursday, September 6, 2018. A perfect opportunity to prepare one last time before the great adventure! From Sanremo to San Lorenzo al Mare, you will cross a bike path along the Italian coasts on the handlebars of a HAT ECOBIKE CHALLENGE.
Another new feature this year will be an entry for a 4-day exhibition devoted entirely to the world of the Moto Road trip. It will take place in the town of Sestriere, the point of arrival of the HAT. The closing night of the HARDALPITOUR 2018 will also take place in Sestriere in a restaurant. All the participants are invited.
In general, each rider will have access throughout the course to the points of restoration, infirmary and control. And to keep a wonderful memory of this great adventure, prizes will be given to the participants of the HAT 2018 according to age, experience, distance travelled and many other criteria. Not bad, huh?
Whether you are a single-cylinder or twin-cylinder motorcycle, the only requirement to go on the HARDALPITOUR 2018 motorcycle road trip is to be in possession of a motorcycle of 150 kilos minimum. So what are you waiting for?
