Day 1 Bastia - L’île Rousse via Cap Corse
170 km of roads – 2h 30m of driving
After crossing the Mediterranean by ferry along with your bike, you arrive at the Bastia port in the morning. After meeting Olivier’s team, enjoy a lovely breakfast at one of the many charming restaurants in town. After breakfast, you commence your motorcycle trip by riding in the direction of Cap Corse. Riding along a beautiful coastal road, you first arrive in Barcaggio. Located all the way up north at the tip of Cap Corse, you are likely to have beautiful views of the city through clear skies. You then continue your ride towards Centuri Port, a beautiful small town, where you can break for lunch by the harbour. After lunch, you continue to Nonza, and then Saint Florent, riding southwards. After a pleasant riding session crossing the Desert des Agriates, you arrive in L’île Rousse. You have dinner and stay overnight in a charming hotel.
Day 2 L’île Rousse - Porto
170 km of roads – 2h 30m of driving
After breakfast, you commence with a beautiful riding session on small trails and country roads of Haute-Corse (Upper Corsica) in the direction of Ponte Leccia. This is also a fun session as you would probably come across some donkeys, goats and cows on your way! You break for a leisurely lunch in Ponte Leccia. Our expert local partner recommends that you should definitely try the local charcuterie and the Corsican cheese here! After a hearty lunch, you start riding towards Scala de Santa Regina. After crossing a beautiful gorge bordering Monte Cinto, the highest peak in Corsica, you arrive in Calacuccia. Here you can drive along the shore of its beautiful lake. You then commence an uphill ride to the Vergio Pass, rising to 1,465 m above sea level, followed by a downhilll ride to the Aïtone forest. You are always taking small trails and paths amongst the aromas of surrounding chestnut and fir trees. You arrive in Evisa and continue towards Gorges de Spelunca – a scenic beauty that is unbelievably red in some parts. You then reach the Gulf of Porto. Check into your hotel and then go for a dinner in the city.
Day 3 Porto - Bonifacio via Ajaccio
225 km of roads – 5h of driving
Starting early in the morning from Porto, you cross the magnificent creeks of Piana where a relaxing swim is necessary. You continue your journey to Ajaccio along one of the most beautiful roads of Corsica that meanders along the Gulf of Sagone and its beautiful beaches. You have lunch in one of the fine restaurants of Ajaccio and visit the market to buy fresh vegetables, breads, meats and cheeses. You progress on another magnificent road towards Bonifacio, located on the southern tip of Corsica. Your day ends with check in and dinner at your hotel in Bonficaio.
Day 4 Bonifacio - Aiguilles de Bavella - Bonifacio
185 km of roads – 2h 30m of driving
After a hearty breakfast, you continue your motorcycle journey in Corsica to leave in the direction of the Aiguilles de Bavella. You travel through the interior of Corsica and after the village of Zonza, you cross the Bavella pass, rising to 1,218 m above sea level. You have a leisurely lunch at the pass with amazing views of the Aiguilles de Bavella (the ‘Needles of Bavella’). You then ride towards Solenzara, passing through Porto Vecchio, an old village located in the south of Corsica. On the way you will cross a number of natural swimming pools, where you can stop for a small swimming break. You return to Bonifacio, have dinner in the city and then retire to your hotel.
Day 5 Bonifacio - Corte
160 km of roads – 3h 30m of driving
Today, you take your motorcycles to the centre of Corsica to reach Corte. During the day, you will travel across the Corsican mountains and mountain towns. After Ghisonaccia, you cross the Défilé de l’Inzecca known for its spectacular canyon. You pass by Ghisoni and then arrive in Corte. This mountain town is spectacular and its citadel and the upper town with lots of small streets and lanes are well worth a visit. You stay overnight and have dinner at your hotel in Corte.
Day 6 Corte - Bastia
75 km of roads – 1h 30m of driving
The last day of your motorcycle trip to Corsica starts with a visit to the Gorges de la Restonica and the river that flows through this valley, one of the most beautiful places in Corsica. After a leisurely lunch on the way, you take the national road to return to Bastia. After crossing Ponte Leccia, you reach Bastia, where you take the ferry to go back.
