The Arcachon Basin – the flyover of the Dune of Pilat
Discover the Landes de Gascogne, where the Arcachon basin is located. The only interruption of the Silver Coast is an inland sea that opens directly onto the Atlantic Ocean through passes. It is a bike ride in a natural corner of Gironde, the rich maritime culture and the grandiose scenery that awaits you! If you are in the vicinity of Bordeaux, go down to the end of the Cap-Ferret to get back up the inside of the basin towards Arcachon.
It is not very long, you can make a few stops to enjoy the surroundings and perhaps even taste the famous gravettes, oysters arcachonnaises. The most beautiful remains to come: the Dune of the Pilat, the highest in all of Europe, will rise right in front of you. To savor all the immensity and more, there is nothing like flying in a helicopter over the basin of Arcachon to observe everything in an impregnable way. You will also see the oyster basins, the bird Island and the National Nature Reserve of the Arguin bank.
The Gulf of Morbihan – catamaran excursion to the Île-d'Houat
The roads in the south of Brittany will seduce you during a motorcycle trip, especially with the large choice of popular destinations offered by the Morbihan. On a weekend, from the outskirts of Rennes, you can head to Vannes, its St. Peter's Cathedral and its ramparts. La Trinité-sur-Mer and its pretty harbour will welcome you for a stroll and you can then go and visit Carnac, its dolmens and menhirs (almost 3000 in all).
The next day you can visit Quiberon and its bay which houses a small paradise called the island of Houat. Wild and preserved, its waters to the color worthy of the Caribbean will amaze you! You will be able to embark for a trip at sea during a whole day on a sailing trip with a skipper. It will drop you in a catamaran for 3 hours during which you can relax on the superb beach Treac'h Er Goured with clear waters, or stroll on the cliffs and discover small coves.
The Auvergne volcanoes – motorcycle on circuit and paragliding
The Puy-de-Dôme department will offer you its most beautiful places to travel on motorcycles. The Auvergne is a lively area with a beautiful array of leisure activities. During your getaway, you can drive from Clermont-Ferrand to Saint-Nectaire where you can enjoy the thermal baths, visit the caves of Cornadore and even taste the iconic cheese! The gorges of the Verdon-defying the void by bungee jumping
