Located on the Canary Islands in the western part of Tenerife, the Spanish island, the TF-436 is a zigzag mountain road, rising and descending for 22 kilometers through the Macizo mountains of Teno and along the Teide volcano. The latter is considered to be one of the most spectacular roads in Europe!
On 5 kilometers the road includes 15 hairpin turns of which to be caught and to acquire beautiful sensations on motorbike. You take through steep and very narrow slopes as well as through short and steep climbs. The beginning of the road is located in Santiago Del Teide, then the road passes through Masca, a village perched on the mountainside and starting point of a beautiful hike through a path descending to the sea. The second part of the road will take you through a few small villages, La Vica, Los Carrizales, Las Portellas and El Palmar. The landscapes are much more desert than the first part and the bitumen is totally perfect.
Your point of downfall will be Buenavista del Norte, quiet and fresh village. All along this beautiful road you will admire splendid landscapes on the sea, the surrounding mountains as well as the perched houses. Be careful not to be caught and to keep a certain concentration at the wheel, the turns being particularly tight there is sometimes only one way!
Avoid taking this road in the middle of summer because the traffic is important and you will be more difficult to acquire beautiful sensations…
