This mythical road is one of the longest roads in the world, crossing over 5000 km over 20 national parks, 18 rivers and 27 Andean passes, including its highest point, the Col Abra del Acay in the province of Salta rising to 4895 metres.

The national 40, named Ruta 40, is what Road 66 is in the United States: a mythical road, symbol and emblem of the country. It is one of the most important roads in Argentina, crossing the country from the north to the south from the Bolivian border to Cape Virgenes in the southernmost part of Patagonia. This road has greatly facilitated the échangeà across the country.

So many landscapes that make up a unique journey. The road also runs through a part of the wine route in the Mendoza area.
On this beautiful road You can also travel the area of San Juan, the Calchaquie valleys, the Quebrada de Humahuaca until the Puna. You will discover Los Cardones Park with an altitude of 2700 and 5000 metres, where large cacti stand in the middle of the shimmering desert.
