- An Enfield 500 motorcycle

Day 1 Arrival in Cape Town
Your motorcycle journey begins in the heart of Cape Town. You will be welcomed at the airport by our Planet Ride partner and transferred to your hotel in the early part of the day. The rest of the day is dedicated to exploring this world’s end city nestled in a stunning bay. If time permits, you will visit Table Mountain via cable car to admire the panoramic view. The day concludes with a dinner alongside your fellow travelers and guide.
Day 2 Cape Town to Hermanus

Your South African motorcycle journey begins! You start your Royal Enfield and leave Cape Town heading towards the Southeast coast. You ride along a beautiful road that skirts the coast, enjoying the splendid landscapes of False Bay. Lunch will be at Betty’s Bay before you go to admire the penguins.
Day 3 Hermanus to Barrydale

You set off early in the morning and embark on your first off-road riding on the route to Cape Agulhas, the southernmost point of Africa. Then, you head North towards the Langeberg Mountains, ending your day in the charming town of Swellendam.
Day 4 Barrydale to Volmoed

A big riding day awaits! Your destination is the legendary Route 62, a must-visit spot for any serious biker. Enjoy a coffee break at the unique Ronnie’s Sex Shop before resuming your off-road journey through mountains reminiscent of a cowboy film. A true delight!
Day 5 Volmoed to Oudtshoorn

Your day starts early as you set off to explore the Cango Caves, located at the foot of the majestic Swartberg mountain range. You take a less-traveled path leading directly to the impressive Meiringspoort gorge, a passage to the north into the vast “Great Karoo”. As you progress, the landscapes turn into more arid lands, with the temperature gradually rising. Upon arriving in the charming village of Prince Albert, you have the opportunity to enjoy the local cuisine in a delightful garden, offering a pleasant respite from the heat. If weather conditions permit, you can venture to conquer the Swartberg Pass, peaking at 1600 meters, with a road carved into the mountainside that has stood for nearly 140 years. In the late afternoon, you return to your hotel to rest and enjoy some well-deserved relaxation.
Day 6 Oudtshoorn to Matjiesfontein

A beautiful stage awaits, starting with an impressive track along the mountains towards Calitzdorp, a town famous for its port wine. Then, you return to Route 62 before tackling the daunting Seweweekspoort canyon, surrounded by magnificent landscapes along your route!
Day 7 Matjiesfontein to Montagu

After a few turns on Highway 1, the vast road linking Cape Town and Johannesburg, you head south to Anysberg. Finally, you reach the Oubergs Pass, a reserve located in the heart of a beautiful valley.
Day 8 Montagu to Franschhoekc – Matjiesfontein

You take a track towards the spa village of Montagu before veering south to the Breede River Valley, the gateway to the wine region. After a picnic in the fields, you ascend the beautiful Franschhoek Pass, where you enjoy a pleasant evening tasting local cuisine and wines.
Day 9 Franschhoek to Cape Town

It’s the last day of your South African tour, and you’ll ride towards the Cape Peninsula and the ocean. Along the way, you make a stop in the picturesque harbor of Simon’s Town before following the coast through a beautiful national park to the legendary Cape of Good Hope.
Day 10 Cape Town International Airport
Depending on your schedule, you can enjoy a few more hours in Cape Town or be transferred directly to the airport for your return flight, with a head full of memories!
