Day 1 Delhi
Your motorcycle tours in Rajasthan begins with a reception at the airport and transfer to the hotel Amarya Villa in the center of Delhi.
Day 2 Delhi - Dholpur
250 km
We start our drive towards the famous city of Agra and the breathtaking Taj Mahal. The monument was build out of love in 1631 and is currently one of the seven wonders of the modern world. We leave for the small town of Dholpur to spend the night in the Raj Niwas Palace. The former home of Maharajas, this house was converted into a palace and serves as a prime example Mughal architecture.
Day 3 Dholpur - Ramathra
160 km
Our first day riding in Rajasthan will take us to Ramathra Fort. We travel via small country roads spanning landscapes that gradually change. During the first part of the day, the road spans arid environments before slowly entering greener regions and villages typical to Rajasthan. We spend the night at Ramathra Fort, built in 1645 on top of a hill near the Maharaja of Karauli. The fort offers a breathtaking view over the Kalisil River, its lake, and the surrounding countryside. A remnant from an influential dynasty, the fort is continuously restored using traditional construction techniques. The hotel opened its doors in 2006.
Day 4 Ramathra - Ranthambore
65 km
We head towards Ranthambore National Park. This reserve is well known for its abundant wildlife, particularly a tiger population. In the afternoon, we leave the bikes to join a jeep safari with ample crocodiles, birds, sambars, of monkeys, and maybe even a tiger. To preserve the reserve from the tourist affluence, it is possible the park will be closed; the visit, therefore, not guarantee. We spend the night at Khem Villas, a five-hectare ecological lodge. It offers three types of new housing including a room, tent or cottage. Relax in a place full of charm and refinement deep in the heart of nature. A splendid selection of rooms and décor are remarkably comfortable for all. Meals are prepared from the lodge’s organic vegetable garden while you enjoy the bar, library, and natural pool.
Day 5 Ranthambore - Bundi
130 km
After a nice night’s sleep in an idyllic setting, we continue an authentic day upon our Indian motorcycle tours. Arrive in Bundi to begin a relaxing day absorbing authentic scenes from the city. Stroll through the old bazaar or visit the Palace for some of the most beautiful frescos in Rajasthan. The town operates in an authentic manner as remoteness has protected it from widespread tourism. We spend the night in the Brij Bhushanji Haveli, built 150 years ago. The Haveli is a classic example of traditional Rajput architecture with magnificent view from comfortable terraces and rooms.
Day 6 Bundi - Shahpura
120 km
We take an easy pace to cover 120-kilometers upon damaged roads that slowly improve as we near our destination. Arrival in Shahpura offers a haven of tranquility within its 250 lakes and remarkable bird habitats. Stay overnight at the Shahpura Bagh Hotel, where people arrive as guests but leave as friends. Located in the former summer residence of several heads of state, Shahpura Bagh is surrounded by an oasis of greenery and small lakes. It offers a superb swimming pool with comfortable rooms decked in majestic decor.
Day 7 Shahpura - Sardargarh
130 km
After sunrise and breakfast, we return to the road towards Sardargarh at the foot of the Aravalli Mountains. Roads are generally smooth for this leg of our journey. Sardargarh Singh had the fort built between 1738 and 1743. The story goes, the king of Udaipur was so impressed by the architecture, he named Sardargarh Singh to supervise the construction of Jag Niwas, the famous Lake Palace of Udaipur.
Day 8 Sardargarh - Udaipur
115 km
Our Rajasthan motorcycle tours now enters the heart of the Aravallis Mountains. It is a pleasure to drive on pristine smaller roads winding through the valleys. The region offers ample discovery of charming country scenes. See women at the well, shepherds with their goats, and nomadic families belonging to the so-called “gypsy” communities of the Gaduliya. Arrive in Udaipur, known as the “Venice of the East”, around Lake Pichola. The Aravallis range surrounds the city, making it a pleasant atmosphere throughout the year. The city has a large number of palaces, some of which are now converted into hotels and restaurants. Enjoy the afternoon touring these unique sights.
Day 9 Udaipur - Delhi
We spend another day in Udaipur before flying to Delhi in the evening. Once we land, we’ll have a restful night in the extremely comfortable Amarya Villa hotel.
Day 10 Delhi
Say goodbye to India on your last day of your motorcycle tours in Rajasthan. Enjoy free time in Delhi before transferring to the international airport to meet your scheduled flight.
