    Day 1 Tashkent

    Your adventure to Uzbekistan begins with your flight to Tashkent. You’ll enjoy dinner and overnight on the plane before waking up in the capital city.


    Day 2 Tashkent

    Our team will welcome you in Tashkent where you’ll arrive at night and get your first taste of Silk Road travel. We’ll transfer you to your hotel where you can rest up, enjoy a little dinner and do a little exploration. In the morning, you can discover this city with over 2200 years of history. You’ll crisscross monuments from the middle ages and explore streets that date from the age of the Silk Road. You’ll also discover the famed Tashkent Metro which contains some of the most ornate and beautiful stations in the world. Explore the town and enjoy an overnight in this great city.


    Day 3 Tashkent – Jizzakh – Lake Aydarkul – Ukhum Village

    After lunch, we’ll transfer you to the train station to head out to Jizzakh. After a 2 hour gorgeous ride through the country, it’s time for you to get behind the wheel of your 4×4 and really begin your Uzbekistan 4×4 tour. You’ll begin by heading in the direction of the Paris-inspired city of Forish. This route will take you along the picturesque Lake Aydarkul before heading into the Ukhum Mountains. In the evening, you’ll settle in a village in the Nourata Mountain Range in a charming guesthouse.

    Day 4 Hukum –Naurata Mountains – Lake Aydarkul – Yurt Camps

    It’s time to cross the Kyzylkum Desert into the incredible landscapes of Uzbekistan. You’ll cross a millennial pine forest reserve that according to legend was planted by Alexander the Great’s soldiers after their conquered the ancient capital of Samarkand. You’ll continue towards the south of Lake Aydarkul and enjoy a picnic lunch and swim. By afternoon, you’ll arrive at your yurt camp in the outskirts of some truly impressive sand dunes. This incredible spot features outstanding sunsets that reflect off the dunes before enjoying a local style dinner and concert at the camp.

    Day 5 Yurt Camp - Kazgen Oasis– Ayakkuduk – Lake Vpadina Ayakalytma

    Rev your 4×4 engine and get ready to explore the incredible Kyzylkum Desert. Your following tracks into the desert crossing the incredible sand dunes. As you enjoy your 4×4 Uzbekistan travel adventure, you’ll eventually make it to the gorgeous Kangen Oasis—where the natural water dries during the intense summer heat, but flowers beautifully in the winter. For lunch, you’ll dine in the Kazakhs village of Ayakkuduk Village before discovering another lake, Vpadina Ayakalytma. This lake is famed for the archaeological excavations discovered here. Then, you’ll set up camp right night to the lake and enjoy an evening under the stars!

    Day 6 Lake Vpadina Ayakalytma – Shurkul Reservoir – Zérafshan River – Boukhara

    You exit the desert and cross back into the city on your Silk Road travel journey. Before you get there, however, you’ll zoom along the beauty of the massive Shurkul Reservoir. Then you’ll stop to enjoy lunch along the Zérafshan River, one of the most important in Uzbekistan! Then it’s time to join the fast roads into the mystical city of Bukhara. You’ll spend a night in the city’s charming old town and enjoy some delicious local food.

    Day 7 Boukhara

    Time to take a break from your 4×4 and do a little Uzbekistan travel on foot. Today’s adventure begins with a visit to the Mausoleum of Samanids—one of Uzbekistan’s oldest and most stunning examples of medieval architecture. There’s so much more to discover from minarets and more mausoleums, temples and picaresque domes. Don’t forget to explore the Great Bazaar and the famed Merchant Gallery to truly delight your senses.


    Day 8 Boukhara – Dengiz Koul Reservoir – Karachi

    Heading south out of the famous Silk Road city of Boukhara, you’ll enter your second desert of the trip, Korakum which shares a border with neighboring Turkmenistan. Along these tracks, you cross the large Déngiz Koul lake, a true desert oasis. By evening, you’ll head into the interesting city of Karachi.

    Day 9 Karachi – Chimkurgan Reservoir – Kashkadarya River – Kitob – Samarkand

    You’re headed towards the famed ancient city of Samarkand. Before you do, you’ll cross some truly fantastic roads along the Zérafshan Mountains that soar up to over 1800 meters (6000 feet) above sea level. Up here, you’ll discover one of the most beautiful passes in Uzbekistan before heading into Samarkand. You’ll deliver your 4×4 to the local team and then enjoy a night in the city.

    Day 10 Samarkand

    Today you’ll explore the incomparable city of Samarkand discovering the best of Silk Road travel. You begin with the mausoleum of Timur—one of the country’s most historic figures. Then you’ll cross Registan Square and see the largest mosque in Central Asia, Bibi Khanum, and its majestic blue dome. Then explore the famed Samarkand Bazaar and experience the incredibly delicious local flavors and cuisine.


    Day 11 Samarkand – Tashkent

    300 km

    Take a little more time to uncover the wonders of Samarkand like the Ulugbek Observatory which features a massive sextant used to observe astronomical phenomenon. This observatory also includes incredible panoramas of the city and of the famed Afrosiab archaeological site. Then you’ll visit the Shakhi Zinda Necropolis before heading to the Samarkand train station. You’ll take a train by Tashkent to enjoy one last evening of Uzbekistan travel in the capital city.

    Day 12 Tashkent Departure

    Enjoy one last look at Tashkent before our team transfer you to the airport according to your flight’s departure time.
