Reach the Fjords of the Far North by Snowmobile

Set off on an extraordinary snowmobile expedition through the vast wilderness of Lapland and northern Norway. From Muotkan Ruoktu, you'll ride across snow-covered fells, boreal forests and endless Arctic tundra before reaching the dramatic fjords bordering the Arctic Ocean. Covering nearly 700 kilometres, the scenery changes constantly, from the endless white landscapes of Finland to the spectacular mountains of Norway's Finnmark region. Accompanied by Kevin and his team, you'll discover the homeland of the Sámi people, observe Arctic wildlife and stay in carefully selected accommodations chosen for their unique character. Day-by-day itinerary

Day 1

Ivalo

Upon arrival at Ivalo Airport, you are transferred to Muotkan Ruoktu, your base camp in the heart of Finnish Lapland. Surrounded by the snow-covered landscapes of the Far North, you have time to settle in and meet your guide as well as your fellow participants. This first evening offers the perfect introduction to the unique Arctic environment that will accompany you throughout the expedition. Overnight in Muotkan Ruoktu.
Day 2

Muotkan Ruoktu – Utsjoki or Nuorgam

After familiarising yourself with the snowmobiles and attending the safety briefing, you set off towards the far north. The first kilometres take you through boreal forests and the rolling Lapland fells that define this region. Gradually, the scenery opens up into vast snow-covered landscapes where the feeling of endless space becomes ever more present. You reach the Utsjoki or Nuorgam region, on the doorstep of Norway. Overnight in the area.
Day 3

Utsjoki ou Nuorgam - Kongsfjord or Breidfjord

This day marks one of the highlights of the journey. After crossing the Norwegian border, you continue towards the Arctic fjords. The scenery gradually changes, with wider valleys and the first signs of the maritime environment beginning to appear. Arriving beside the fjords reveals a striking landscape of snow-covered mountains and the vast Arctic Ocean. Overnight in the Kongsfjord or Breidfjord region.

Day 4

Kongsfjord orBreidfjord - Utsjoki orNuorgam

After spending the morning among the Norwegian fjords, you head back inland. This stage offers one final opportunity to enjoy the breathtaking coastal scenery before returning to the iconic landscapes of Finnmark and Finnish Lapland. The kilometres unfold through untamed wilderness, where nature sets the pace. Overnight in the Utsjoki or Nuorgam region.
Day 5

Loop Ride to Mehamn

Today is dedicated to exploring the northernmost landscapes of the expedition. The trails take you across vast open wilderness where the views seem endless. Between snow-covered tundra, frozen valleys and areas frequented by reindeer, you'll discover one of the most remote regions in northern Europe. At the end of the day, you return to the Utsjoki or Nuorgam region for an overnight stay.
Day 6

Utsjoki or Nuorgam - Muotkan Ruoktu

Today, you begin your journey back to Finland. The final kilometres offer one last chance to enjoy the spectacular landscapes encountered throughout the expedition. Snow-covered forests, frozen lakes and the rolling fells of Lapland accompany you all the way back to Muotkan Ruoktu. You spend your final night at the base camp, sharing a friendly farewell evening with the group.
Day 7

Muotkan Ruoktu

This more relaxed day allows you to fully enjoy the unique atmosphere of Lapland. Depending on the conditions, you may unwind in a traditional Finnish sauna, explore the surrounding area or simply admire the breathtaking landscapes of the Far North. The evening offers one final opportunity to witness the Northern Lights before the journey comes to an end. Overnight in Muotkan Ruoktu.
Day 8

Ivalo

After breakfast, you will be transferred to Ivalo Airport for your departure. You leave the Far North with unforgettable memories of an extraordinary adventure through the landscapes of Lapland, the Norwegian fjords and the shores of the Arctic Ocean.
