From Tirana, you quickly head south to reach the famous Albanian Riviera, where winding roads overlook a bright turquoise sea. Between mountain passes, stone villages and unspoilt beaches, the route alternates between winding roads and wilder inland sections. You travel through still little-known regions, rich in history and contrasts, before returning to the capital. Day-by-day itinerary

Day 1

Arrival in Ioannina

Transfer from Ioannina airport to your hotel located on the shores of Lake Pamvotida. You settle in calmly before meeting your motorcycle guide and the other participants at the end of the day. A first briefing allows you to discover the programme and prepare for the start of your road trip.
Day 2

Loannina – Gjirokastër

You leave Ioannina heading towards southern Albania. The road takes you to the ancient site of Butrint, a UNESCO World Heritage site, where you discover a remarkable complex including a theatre, temples and necropolises. You then continue to Gjirokastër, also listed as a UNESCO site, known for its Ottoman architecture and stone houses. At the end of the day, you take time to explore the streets of the old town before reaching your accommodation.

Day 3

Gjirokastër – Berat

Vous reprenez la route en direction du nord en longeant la vallée de la Vjosa. L’itinéraire alterne entre routes de montagne et passages plus ouverts avec des vues sur la côte. Vous empruntez ensuite la route SH8, connue pour ses tracés entre mer et reliefs, avec un passage par Borsh. Après l’ascension du col de Llogara, vous continuez vers l’intérieur des terres pour rejoindre Berat. Berat – Elbasan

You leave Berat for a stage through inland Albania. The road takes you to the Osum Canyon, where you follow the gorges carved by the river. You then continue along the SH72 and SH74 roads, which cross rural areas and isolated villages. This day offers a varied route between mountains, valleys and quiet roads. Arrival in Elbasan at the end of the day and check-in for the night.

Elbasan – Pogradec

You head east towards Lake Ohrid, a UNESCO World Heritage site. You follow the shores of the lake with several possible stops to enjoy the scenery and discover the surrounding villages. You also pass through Drilon Park, known for its springs and green spaces. Arrival in Pogradec at the end of the day and overnight stay by the lake.

You leave Pogradec following Lake Prespa and cross the Pustec region, located in the heart of a national park.   • Guidance : a French speaking and English speaking motorcycle guide, on riding days.
  • A local team : an experienced mechanic and a driver for the support vehicle, including their accommodation and meals.
  • A support vehicle for carrying equipment and luggage.
  • Accommodation : standard, in hotel, guesthouse or camp, in twin room, two single beds, or double room. Solo travellers will share a twin room with another participant. Single room supplement available on request.
