Day 1 Arrive in Kochi
You’ll be welcomed at the airport and driven over to your hotel in Fort Kochi. You’ll have some free time to enjoy the great restaurants and scenery some time around the city before the best bike trip in South India begins.
Day 2 Kochi

Before we head off, you’ll have more time to explore Kochi. Kochi is charming combination of medieval Portuguese, Dutch, and English countryside in the tropical setting of malabar. Here you can find 500 year old Portuguese housing, old Chinese fishing communities, a sixteenth century synagogue, palaces and so much more. Today, you’ll also meet your Royal Enfield and do a little cruising. In the evening, we highly recommend you attend a kathakali (traditional dance performance).
Day 3 Kochi – Periyar

Today, we are on the road really kick starting our Royal Enfield tours South India. Get ready to twist and turn across small roads that wind through lakes and canals and into the lush nature found in the Periyar Hills. This region is famous both for its large diversity of wild animals and its spice cultivation. Enjoy the fragrances as you ride through the hills.
Day 4 Periyar – Munnar

In the morning, we’ll visit a spice garden before we head north into the mountains on our South India motorcycle tours. Crossing tea plantations and mountains farms, we’ll steadily increase in altitude until we reach Munnar. Munnar, our destinations, is surrounded by South India’s tallest mountains which peak around 2,600 meters high. It’s also home to one of the world highest tea plantation and trading centers. You’ll have the opportunity to explore these in the afternoon, before we settle in our hotel for the night.
Day 5 Munnar — Elephant Valley

We are crossing into the border area of the Tamil Nadu in the Western Ghats. Here the climate is less humid and forms a nice contrast to the Kerala forests we’ve been driving through. As we make our way through reach, we’ll ascend into the Palani Mountains where will find ourselves in an ecolodge surrounded by nature for the evening. Resting at 1000 meters above sea level, this 100-acre nature reserve is a nature lover’s dream. Here, you can sample the many homemade, traditional Indian recipes all grown at the lodge.
Day 6 Elephant Valley – Madurai

Today we are curving down into the Coimbatore great plain on the best bike trips in South India. The view are simply magnificent! We’ll cross coconut plantations and farms reaching the revered Hindu pilgrimage site of Madurai. Here we’ll visit the Meenakshi Temple and the astounding bazaar.
Day 7 Madurai – Chettinad

Our drive is short and stunning today as we cross small villages and secret roads. This area is known for the curious rock formations famous in the Tamil Nadu region that we’ll make our way in between as we make our way into Chettinad.
Day 8 Chettinad

After all these days of adventring on our Royal Enfield tours South India, you’ll gladly welcome a free morning to just kick back and relax. You have the day free to do as you wish, we recommend strolling through the surrounding villages to discover the unique local culture. You can also visit the Thirumayam Fort— a great place to see.
Day 9 Chettinad – Tanjore
140 km
Our Royal Enfield tours South India continue. We’re headed out to the Chettiar countryside carving between the rice fields, cotton plantations, and irrigation basins. When we arrive in Tanjore, we’ll visit the 1000 year old Brihadeshwara TEmple and explore the ancient town.
Day 10 Tanjore — Sud de Pondichéry

Today’s our last stop on our best bike trips in South India . Savor this magnificent track that leads to Kumbakonam— a UNESCO World Heritage Site and home to the Darasuram Temple. We’ll continue our way northeast along the coast of the Bay of Bengal. In the evening, we’ll stop in Tranquebar, a coastal village and former Danish trading post. We’ll avoid the traffic of the city and instead have an opportunity for a lovely swim instead.
Day 11 Pondichéry

In morning, you’ll have a transfer by private vehicle to Pondicherry. Here you can visit the city and enjoy its majestic coastline. We’re staying 15 km north of the city on the Bay of Bengal at an eco-resort. This stunning nature, is the perfect place to enjoy some well-deserved relaxation. The resort area and the town around is an incredible mix of Indian and French culture and architecture. There’s nowhere like it in the country!
Day 12 Pondichéry – Chennai
140 km
The morning is free to continue relaxing or exploring on our South India motorcycle tours. After lunch, you’ll be transferred by private vehicle to Tamil Nadu’s capital, Chennai. Along the way, we’ll stop at Mahabalipuram to visit its revered temples that are carved in the rock before arriving in Chennai.
Day 13 Chennai
We’ll have lunch in Chennai and sample the local flavors before you are transferred to the airport depending on your departure time.
