At Planet Ride, we had the opportunity to create a new motorcycle journey there. More importantly, we met the person who could open the door to this side of Mongolia.

Lkhagva, our local expert in the heart of Mongolia

His name is Lkhagva, although everyone calls him Lala. Born in Ulaanbaatar, where he still lives, he has spent the past eight years designing motorcycle journeys across his country.

He has known these roads all his life. He also knows the nomadic families who move with the seasons and the valleys that never appear on maps. With him, we do not simply follow an itinerary: we enter his world.

The Forgotten Roads of Gobi, our new motorcycle journey

This encounter inspired The Forgotten Roads of Gobi, our new motorcycle trip in Mongolia. Over 16 days, the route crosses the Gobi Desert, with its giant dunes and spectacular canyons, before opening onto steppes that stretch all the way to the horizon.

The journey also leads to the Orkhon Valley, the former capital of Karakorum and wild horses. Above all, it brings nights and shared moments with nomadic families who preserve an ancestral way of life.
