Product Detail Image Set off to ride through the heart of Tuscany, where rolling hills shape a timeless landscape of slender cypress trees, vineyards, and hilltop villages. From the saddle of your motorcycle, you follow winding roads lined with olive groves and historic estates, perfect for smooth and inspiring riding. The route links iconic cities such as Siena, San Gimignano, and Montepulciano, true jewels of heritage and character. With every turn, panoramas unfold, sculpted by the colors of the land, blending ancient stone with cultivated landscapes bathed in light.

The stages of your motorcycle route

Day 1 – Arrival in Bologna
You arrive in Bologna, a city with character and the starting point of your motorcycle trip in Italy. After transfer to the hotel, take time to explore the historic center, recognizable by its red bricks, arcades, and iconic towers. The covered markets offer a first glimpse of the Italian way of life. In the evening, you’ll meet the group for an introductory briefing, followed by a welcome dinner—ideal for setting the tone for this motorcycling getaway.
Day 2 – Bologna - Siena - 220 km
The day begins with getting acquainted with your motorcycles. You leave Bologna gently with an iconic first stop: the Ducati Museum — an opportunity to dive into the history of a brand deeply tied to Italian motorcycling culture. You then head south. The road climbs gradually through the first Tuscan hills, passing forests, vineyards and ridgelines. The Raticosa and Futa passes offer a flowing, easy-to-read ride, ideal for savoring the lines. After a break in Florence, you continue to Siena through the Chianti countryside. The turns come in smooth succession and the panoramas are wide open, bringing you to this emblematic medieval city. Evening at leisure and overnight in Siena.
Day 3 – Siena - Orvieto – 198 km
You leave Siena for a stage that reveals the full diversity of Tuscany. The Val d’Orcia unfolds its gentle hills, dotted with cypress trees and winding roads. Further on, the Via delle Crete Senesi marks a change of scenery, more mineral and almost lunar in places. A stop in Montepulciano lets you discover this hilltop village, renowned for its heritage and vineyards. At the end of the day you reach Orvieto, set on its rocky promontory. A peaceful stop, ideal for relaxing after a lovely day of driving.
Day 4 – Orvieto - Monte Amiata – 230 km
You head into Umbria, a quieter, less well-known region where the roads remain natural and lightly traveled. In Civita di Bagnoregio you leave the bikes to explore this suspended village, reachable by a footbridge and frozen in time. The route continues to Lake Bolsena, whose shores offer a peaceful break. Further on, Sorano and Pitigliano reveal their stone silhouettes before a stop at the Saturnia thermal baths. The day ends on the slopes of Monte Amiata, an ancient volcano overlooking the area. Overnight at altitude in a cooler atmosphere.
Day 5 – Monte Amiata - Pescia – 246 km
You return to the roads of the Val d’Orcia, then head for San Gimignano and Colle di Val d’Elsa. These medieval villages blend harmoniously with their natural surroundings and invite you to explore on foot. Continuing westward, you reach Pisa for a stop at the Piazza dei Miracoli. Without lingering, you resume the road to Pescia, a low‑key but well‑located stopover for the next stage of your journey.
Day 6 – Pescia – Massa – 242 km
This stage favors the hills and scenic roads of the Apennines. You take the SP13, known for its flowing curves and clear views across the valleys. As you gain altitude the atmosphere becomes more alpine, especially at the Radici Pass. A stop at Isola Santa, a village nested at the bottom of a gorge, is a highlight of the day. Before arriving in Massa you pass the Carrara marble quarries, a testament to an age‑old craft that is still active today.
Day 7 – Massa to Rapallo – 158 km
Final day of riding, set against the backdrop of the Mediterranean. You follow the Ligurian coast along winding roads that overlook the sea. The villages of the Cinque Terre offer a unique atmosphere, with cliffs, colorful façades and natural harbors. After a stop in Portofino, you arrive in Rapallo for the final evening of the trip. A closing dinner brings this motorcycle crossing of Italy to an end, combining culture, riding and the art of living.
