Day-by-day itinerary

Day 1

Day 1 – Bologna

You arrive in Bologna, a city of character and the starting point of your motorcycle journey in Italy. After transfer to the hotel, you have time to explore the historic center, known for its red-brick buildings, arcades and iconic towers. The covered markets offer an initial immersion in the Italian way of life. In the evening you meet the group for an introductory briefing, followed by a welcome dinner — an ideal way to set the tone for this motorcycling escape.
Day 2

Day 2 – Bologna to Siena – 220 km

The day begins with getting to know your motorcycles. You leave Bologna gently with an iconic first stop: the Ducati Museum, a chance to dive into the history of a brand closely tied to Italian motorcycle culture. You then head south. The road climbs gradually through the first Tuscan hills, between forests, vineyards and ridgelines. The Raticosa and Futa passes offer a rhythmic, readable ride, ideal for savouring the lines. After a break in Florence, you continue toward Siena through the Chianti countryside. The bends flow smoothly and the views are wide open until you arrive in this emblematic medieval city. Evening at leisure and overnight in Siena.
Day 3

Day 3 – Siena to Orvieto – 198 km

You leave Siena for a day that reveals the full diversity of Tuscany. The Val d’Orcia unfurls its gentle hills, dotted with cypress trees and winding roads. Further on, the Via delle Crete Senesi marks a change of scenery — more mineral, almost lunar in places. A stop in Montepulciano lets you discover this hilltop village, renowned for its heritage and vineyards. By the end of the day you reach Orvieto, perched on its rocky promontory. A peaceful leg, perfect for relaxing after a lovely day of driving.

Day 4
Day 4 – Orvieto to Monte Amiata – 230 km
You set off for Umbria, a quieter, more off-the-beaten-path region where the roads remain natural and lightly traveled. In Civita di Bagnoregio you leave the motorcycles to explore this clifftop village, accessible by a footbridge and frozen in time. The route continues to Lake Bolsena, whose shores offer a peaceful break. Further on, Sorano and Pitigliano reveal their stone profiles before a stop at the Saturnia thermal baths. The day ends on the slopes of Monte Amiata, an ancient volcano dominating the area. Overnight at altitude, in a cooler atmosphere.
Day 5
Day 5 – Monte Amiata to Pescia – 246 km
You return to the roads of the Val d’Orcia, then head for San Gimignano and Colle di Val d’Elsa. These medieval villages blend perfectly into their natural surroundings and invite exploration on foot. Continuing westward, you reach Pisa for a stop at the Piazza dei Miracoli. Without lingering, you set off again for Pescia, a modest but well-located stopover for the rest of the journey.
Day 6
Day 6 – Pescia to Massa – 242 km
This stage favors the high ground and scenic roads of the Apennines. You take the SP13, prized for its steady curves and wide-open views over the valleys. As you gain altitude, the atmosphere becomes more alpine, especially at the Radici Pass. A stop at Isola Santa, a village nestled at the bottom of a gorge, is a highlight of the day. Before arriving in Massa, you pass the Carrara marble quarries, a testament to an age-old craft that is still active.
Day 7
Day 7 – Massa to Rapallo – 158 km
The final day of riding, with the Mediterranean as your backdrop. You follow the Ligurian coast along winding roads that overlook the sea. The villages of the Cinque Terre offer a unique atmosphere, with cliffs, colorful façades and natural harbors. After a stop in Portofino, you reach Rapallo for the last evening of the trip. A closing dinner concludes this motorcycle tour across Italy, blending culture, riding and the art of living.
