Hoi An - A Luoi
220km - 5h of riding
Our Vietnam motorcycle tour begins with a full day of great cruising on your Honda XR. We will ride up the coast through the town of Danang famous for its China Beach and as the setting for the Robin Williams movie Good Morning Vietnam.
As we exit the town, you will experience the fun of riding the Hai Van Pass of Top Gear fame. This pass once divided the different kingdoms of old Vietnam and the views at the top will definitely warrant a quick break for a cold drink or a cup of coffee. This is truly how you motorcycle in Vietnam. We will travel further north and then head west for a ride down Highway 49—a magical road that wanders through a landscape dotted with spice trees and fruit farms.
A Luoi - Kham Duc
230km - 5h of riding
You really will experience traveling Vietnam by motorbike today when you will meet the Ho Chi Minh Highway. This was part of the intricate road system that troops used during the years of the American war in the late 60s and early 70s of the last century. Today it is a concrete highway that twists and turns its way through jungles and mountains.
The HCM Highway carves through a remote area of Vietnam and provides some extraordinary riding opportunities. There is not much traffic along this road but it is still best to watch out for the occasional truck delivering goods to the remote towns or the occasional cow that prefers to walk along here instead of through the forest!
Kham Duc - Kon Tum
180km - 4h of riding
Today’s journey will set us on the way to Komtum and have us riding more of the famous Ho Chi Minh trail. Be ready for major fun on this paradise of beautiful windy roads as it drops into the jungle valleys and rises to the mountain ridges.
Along the way, we will stop in some small villages and have a picnic lunch next to one of the famous old school rickety bridges of the Central Highlands. Once again, there will not be too much traffic, but you still need to watch out for random cows and trucks. Again, not much traffic but remain alert. A must visit is to the Orphanage behind the old wooden Church where you can meet the friendly locals and the excited children.
Kon Tum - Buon Ma Thuot
240km - 5h of riding
The more we motorcycle in Vietnam, the more twisting roads, the more valleys and the more excitement we will experience. Buon Me Thuot is today’s destination where we will cruise through a combination of towns and valleys. Watch as the locals calmly ride across a perilous looking suspension bridge that scares visitors even just walking on it! Will you be ready to cross it? We will also visit tea, coffee, cacao and pepper plantations along with a truly special stop at a rice paper making village.
Buon Ma Thuot - Da Lat
210km - 5h of riding
Today our Vietnam motorcycle tour takes us to Dalat—often described as the honeymoon capital of Southern Vietnam. Da Lat is also the known as the flower city and delivers much of the fresh produce that you find across the markets all over Vietnam.
You can relax near the lake and if you have enough energy, then you must take time to visit the markets that take over the center of town after dark. Dalat is also home to the most famous winery in Vietnam so sip some of the local vintage! You can also watch the local K’ho traditional Music & Dance festival and perhaps even join in it.
Da Lat - Phan Rang
120km - 2h30 of riding
Today’s journey from Da Lat will be short and sweet and we will be cruising down some small roadways that are nothing but fun for the XRs. We will cross through valleys that are seldom visited by foreign travelers.
Along the way, we will stop at Cham village – the oldest pottery village in South East Asia. Here you can take part in our Coconut Bridge Challenge. The winner of which will be rewarded with a bottle of local wine. After lunch at one of these small towns, we will head towards the coast to Phan Rang. Our resort villa accommodation is located along the famous Ninh Chu beach. Now it’s time to just sit back, relax and enjoy everything Phan Rang has to offer.
Phan Rang - Nha Trang
120km - 2h30 of riding
Our last day of seeing incredible Vietnam by motorbike. We will head to Nha Trang, the bustling resort city along some beautiful coastal roads. Along the way, we will stop at one of the quiet, little beaches where you can relax and enjoy some seafood bbq and take a dip in the ocean.
We will then head into Nha Trang where our tour comes to an end. If you are not in a hurry, Nha Trang is a great place to stay a few more days to relax, do that final bit of souvenir shopping and visit some of the great local landmarks.
