Day 1 Arrival in Kilimanjaro
You’ll arrive in the airport and be meet from our staff who will be happy to answer any question you might have about our road trip Tanzania before they take you over to the lodge for some relaxation. In the evening, you’ll get to meet up with your motorbike and we will have a little group briefing on our journey. After this, we will head to the famed Arush Street for a little bbq dinner and maybe a drink or two if you don’t want to turn in early to be nice and rested for our Tanzania Adventure.
Day 2 Ride from Arusha to Lake Natron
Our safari motorbike begins in Arusha and from here you will have your introduction to African trail riding begins in the Maasai village of Longido. We’ll have a quick stop to have a little break and check the bikes before we head off the pavement onto some dirt roads. Don’t worry, these roads are still pretty smooth so you still have some time to get to know your motorcycle. After lunch, we will ride through rolling country with scrub and scattered thorn trees and see some of the Maasai people herding their cows and goats. We may also see antelope and zebra, and if we are lucky perhaps even a big jungle cat before ending our Tanzania tours in Lake Natron for the night.
Day 3 Lake Natron
We will take it easy in the morning and have a nice late breakfast before heading out on a three hour drive to push along on our Tanzania Adventure. Today we are going to visit hot springs and a famed flamingo breeding site. After a delicious, hot lunch we will hike to some incredible waterfalls and enjoy a natural jacuzzi at their base. After the our afternoon adventure we will return to the lodge and have dinner an excellent BBQ diner under the African sky.
Day 4 Lake Natron to Karatu
Get ready for some challenging riding today on our road trip Tanzania. We are going to cross 120km of dust and sand trails to the growing town of Mto Wa Mbu- (river of mosquito). Don’t let the name scare you, it is a fantastic place. We will spend a little time here and you can choose to do a cultural tour or do a little shopping and enjoy some of the different handmade artwork here. After this, we will jump back on the tarmac heading uphill on our Tanzania Adventure where we could get a chance to have a nice view of Lake Manyara and the national park. We hope you enjoyed that paved road because we will be back on the dirt paths as we head to the Rift Valley Escarpment. Then we will end the day in Karatu which is the hub of the the region and a great place to settle down for the night.
Day 5 Ngorongoro Crater Conservation Area
Get ready to start early so we can make the most out of our Tanzania tours. Today, we are going to get off our bikes and jump into the Safari Jeep. This is the best (and safest) way to really see all the mindblowing animals here. From elephants to lions and antelopes, we have a chance to see it all. In the mid day, we will leave the crater and head back to the lodge where we will get on our bikes and head to Lake Eyasi on our safari motorbike. Today, we might run into some indigenous tribes who live in the area. The ride is nice and easy and we will have plenty of time to mix it up with the locals. At the end of the day, we will have a nice view of the sun set along the lake before we return to the lodge for the evening.
Day 6 Lake Eyasi to Mto wa Mbu via Tarangire
Get ready for another early morning on our safari motorbike as we head out early to go out on a excursion with the Hadza Tribe. This trip will take roughly 2-3 hours and we may even have the opportunity to catch a few animals for our brunch. After this, we head out towards the Tarangire Manyara Ecosystem which will will journey on the Rift Valley Escarpment via Mbulu Area. Our Tanzania tours continue through rocky and hilly road passes through different altitudes and vegetation’s down to Magara Village which is adjacent to Lake Manyara National Park. Here we will make a late lunch stop then proceed along the trails to the Tarangire Manyara Ecosystem where we reach tarmac again and have a relaxing ride to the camp at Mto wa Mbu
