On the Castle Road: Romania Exploration
Day 1 Bucharest
You’ve arrived in the charming capital of Romania. We’ve prepared for you a trip to visit the world’s second largest building—the magnificent palace of the Parliament. If you’re looking for something a little lower key you can also take a little stroll through the old city center and check out the cafes and sample the local wines. Before you head off on your adventure, you’ll enjoy the night in one of the most beautiful places in Bucharest—Parliament Hotel. Then be sure to get some rest. Day 2 Bucharest - Viscri

Time to kick off your Romania travel journey into the Carpathian Mountains. You’ll start off on an absolutely splendid drive that takes you into the Bucegi Range. Along the way, we’ll stop to explore the gorgeous Peles Castle. The castle sits on a historic trade route that connects Wallachia and Transylvania. It’s a truly must-see destination. By day’s end, we’ll arrive at the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Viscri. Viscri is an amazing traditional town with authentic blue Saxon-Transylvania architecture making it the perfect place to wrap up our first day.
Day 3 Viscri - Piatra Neamț

Time to pick up on your road trip Europe into the heart of Transylvania. We’ll slide across the Praid Salt Mines and dive deep into the earth exploring the 120 meters deep caves. Then we’ll ride through the marvelous Bicaz Canyons—a truly scenic drive that will take your breath away. As make our way through Bicaz National Park, we’ll take time to enjoy a stop at Red Lake, which gets its name from the iron oxide that tints the water a spectacular color.
Day 4 Piatra Neamț - Gura Humorului

We head north to explore the culture and traditions of Moldavia on our motorcycle tours Romania. We’ll visit a fascinating Neamt Monastery on the way. The UNESCO World Heritage Site was built over 800 years ago. Then we’ll continue to ride across the country through curving through the canyons that divide the Carpathian and Rodna Mountains. We’ll finish the day deep in the mountains in the lush of nature—an amazingly peaceful place to relax for the night.
Day 5 Gura Humolurui
Gura Humolurui is such a spectacular area. Today, we’ll dive into the region exploring the gorgeous nature and rich history of the region. Most of the day, we’ll spend enjoying the famous steam train of the region which snakes through ten miles of this countryside. We’ll also take some time to meet the locals and sample some great food.
Day 6 Gura Humorului - Apuseni

Time to jump back on our bikes on our road trip Europe and head down the spectacular road to Apuseni. We’ll roam through the Prislop Canyon climbing to the highest pass in Romania soaring over 1,400 meters above sea level. Then we’ll wrap up the day in the wonderful mountain town of Apuseni.
Day 7 Apuseni - Castelul Cornivor

We’re headed to one of the “seven wonders of Romania.” Today, you’ll get to explore the Cornvinilor Castle which is one of the best-preserved medieval castles in all of Europe. It features a historic drawbridge and turrets around each of its edges. We’ll then enjoy the evening in an extravagant five-star manor-hotel that includes a spa and swimming pool. It’s an amazing way to end the day on our motorcycle tours Romania.
Day 8 Castelul Corvinilor - Domogled National Park

Today we cross multiple national parks winding through some truly incredible roads on our Romania travel adventure. We’ll first cross Retezat National Park before we head into Domogled National Park. Domogled National Park includes an abandoned thermal resort that’s truly exhilarating to explore. Then we’ll end the day along the banks of a river with fantastic mountain views.
Day 9 Domogled National
There are few places better on earth to relax and enjoy than Domogled National Park. There’s so much you can do (or not do!) today. We will ride along the small streets, check out the local architecture and get a little taste of the simple life. Then we’ll head into the wine region and explore some of the great wineries of Romania. The pinnacle of the day will be sampling delicious wines including the Feteasca Regala & Pinot Gris, a unique cuvée made of Fetasc and Pinot Gris varietals. It’s a perfect blend of freshness and complexity. Along with the wine tasting, we’ll enjoy a spectacular dinner to enjoy alongside these delicious beverages.
Day 10 Domogled National Park - Bucharest
280 km
It’s time to start making our way back to the capital city to wrap up our road trip Europe. We’ll crisscross a few last spectacular roads before we arrive in Bucharest in the afternoon. Make sure to admire the gorgeous landscapes before you head into the capital for one last night.
Day 11 Bucharest Departure
Before you head off, take some time to explore Bucharest. You can jump on one of the historical city bus tours or just walk around and explore. You might even consider extending your Romania travel to see even more of this amazing country!
