Test your riding skills as you wind across the mountains of the Alps

The majestic tour through the Italian Alps will unlock the greatest features of Italy as you pass from the highest mountain range of the Dolomites (a UNESCO World Heritage Site) and through the many amazing cities and towns of the region. For skilled riders looking to get off the beaten tourist path, this is truly the perfect option for you. As you make your way across the magnificent Alpine background, you’ll be in the saddle for 11 days of challenging riding on our Dolomites motorcycle tour through a western route from Piedmont to South Tyrol. You’ll savor the roads that will sometimes reach an altitude of nearly 10,000 feet above sea level and clench your knuckles as you wind around hairpin turns and steep declines. You’ll also have a fun, mix of easy roads that cross beautiful passes and provide incredible panoramas. If you are looking for a trip that puts your road skills to the tests while also giving you an excellent sampling of the culture and cuisine of Italy then this is the perfect adventure for you!

Day 1


We meet in Milan at our hotel. Here you will be able to pick up your bike and we’ll have a short briefing session. This is your chance to meet your fellow riders on the trip and get to know about our itinerary and the rules of the road in Italy. As we talk, we’ll sip on a traditional Italian aperitif before we head off to enjoy dinner.

Day 2

Milan - Lake Maggiore

200 km

Time for our Dolomites motorcycle tour to begin as we start making our way to Europe’s highest and largest mountain range. Take a deep breath and savor the incredible views of the Alps. We begin by heading towards the Sacred Mountain of Varallo and have an excellent lunch enjoying a tasty “elephant’s ear” or Milanese style cutlet. After that refreshing break, we’ll be ready for some thrilling views and the roads leading to Orta San Giulio located on Lake Orta won’t disappoint. Then, we’ll continue pressing on towards Mottarone where we can enjoy a full 360° view of the mountains and see all three lakes before we end the day on banks of Lake Maggiore. Here you’ll be able to find the perfect spot for dinner.

Day 3

Lake Maggiore - Lake Como

160 km

Today we are throttling onto Lake Como on our motorcycle tours of Italy, one of Italy’s best kept secrets until only recently. Before we head to this amazing destination, we’ll have a brief detour into Switzerland to ride the edge of Lake Lugano before we cross over into the stunning mountains in Lombardy. Near here, we’ll jump on a ferry and give ourselves and breaks a little rest as we enjoy the view from the boat before we cross back into Italy to head into Como. We’ll finish the days on the lake’s edge and even see the incredible Villa Balbianello.

Day 4

Lake Como - Bormio

230 km

Get ready to head off towards Bormio in the Valtellina region which is well known for being the location of the incredible Stelvio Pass. We’ll continue along the most gorgeous roads of Italy making our way along the Lecco Branch of Lake Como. We actually we’ll ride into Bormio from the north through Switzerland and San Moritz reaching heights of 200 meters above sea level.
We’ll make a brief stop in the duty-free shopping paradise of Livigno before we reach our hotel in Bormio where we’ll enjoy two nights.

Day 5


150 km

Even though we are staying in Bormio on our motorcycle tours Italy, we still have a big day of riding ahead of us. We begin by ascending to the Stelvio Pass, Europe’s highest road pass which sits at 2,758 meters and features and adrenaline packed 40 hairpin turns on the way up and 48 coming down. We’ll then by skirting the Austrian border along Lake Reschen (known for its submerged bell tower) before we cross into Switzerland and race up another pass. This will return us back to Italy where we recommend heading to the Bagni Vecchi for a little relaxation at the old Roman thermal baths which feature an incredible view of the town and the valley. Then you on your own to explore the town and choose one of the amazing restaurants for dinner.

Day 6

Bormio - Ortisei

190 km

Today’s guided motorcycle tours Italy has us departing Lombard on an incredible route lined with awe-inspiring scenery and thrilling mountain passes as we head into the Trentino-Alto Adige Region towards the Dolomites. The roads will send us right into the incredible Gavia Pass, a true favorite with skilled riders who admire both its beauty and rigorous riding demands. Get ready to relish the fun challenge before we head into the charming ski resort of Ortisei for the evening.

Day 7


After the adrenaline-packed adventure of the last few days, you’ll enjoy having a day off to take a little break and enjoy the amazing comforts of the hotels. If you’re feeling active though you have many amazing choices. We recommend a hike into Dolomite to savor the exquisite scenery or perhaps taking a helicopter ride to enjoy the majestic mountain scenery that has earned its status as UNESCO World Heritage Site. Your many other options including renting a bicycle and exploring the town or just kicking back and sipping a coffee at one of the cafes. Our staff is here to help you arrange whatever you want to do.

Day 8

Ortisei - Cortina d'Ampezzo

Hopefully, you and your camera had a good rest because today we are heading into the spectacular massifs of Sella and Marmolada into the heart of the Dolomites on our Dolomites motorcycle tour. If you had only a day to be in these mountains, you’d want it to be here! The scenery here is totally unique as we wind our way across the incredible mountain passes and gorges. You’ll want to get off your bike frequently to take pictures of this incredible place. We’ll enjoy a break for coffee along the lake and explore more of the mountains before rolling into another fabulous mountain town, the famed ski resort of Cortina d’Ampezzo.

Day 9

Cortina d'Ampezzo

Every day on this tour is a spectacular opportunity for you to experience the beauty and culture of Italy. It’s the purest form of motorcycling pleasure and today we are going to visit a part of the Dolomites rarely seen by travelers. We’ll begin by visit two ancient border towns and their majestic old castles before we enjoy lunch near the lake. We’ll then have an opportunity to soak up the beauty of the Dolomite’s ultimate symbol: the Tre Cime di Lavaredo (Three Peaks of Lavaredo). It’s unbelievable amazing here and you’ll be able to really enjoy it before we head back into Cortina d’Ampezzo to enjoy another night in the ski town.

Day 10

Cortina d'Ampezzo - Trento

200 km

We are winding our way along the curvy roads and stunning passes towards the lower foothills of the Dolomites into the “lowlands” of Trentino on our motorcycle tours Italy. These lowlands are still relatively high at over 800 meters above sea level and the ridge will be every bit as gorgeous. We’ll cruise around the city of Trento and discover the stunning Buonconsiglio Castle and its old town center. For dinner, we’ll dine together in a traditional style restaurant located in this charming quarter.

Day 11

Trento - Lake Garda

190 km

Our last night on the road will have us once again besides a beautiful lakeside. Before we arrive there, however, are an endless array of twists and turns await us along the fascinating highway carved right out of the rock by Austro-Hungarian Soldiers during the first World War. This stunning fortification and the nearby forts set the backdrop as we cross into another UNESCO site, the beautiful Verona. We’ll enjoy cruising around the city and find Juliet’s famous house from Shakespeare on our guided motorcycle tours of Italy. Our final destination for the day will be at the shore of Lake Garda in the town of Simione. Simione dates from the Roman ages and features the magnificent Grottoes of Catullus and thermal springs located at the very tip of the lake. Here we’ll also try some authentic Veneto food and savor the delights of being on the road.

Day 12

Lake Garda - Milan

200 km

We’re on the road heading once again to Milan. Along the way, we’ll be sure to visit Mantova and its majestic Palazzo Te, one of the masterpieces built by Marquis Federico II Gonzaga as a pleasure palace. We have one more stop to make at Cremona which is the home of Stradivari and the world capital of violin production. Here we will visit the world most famous violin school which dates back to the Renaissance and savor the UNESCO World Heritage site. In the evening, we’ll roll back into Milan where we will return our motorbikes and savor one last dinner together to toast our accomplishments from our incredible adventure.

Day 13


After breakfast, we’ll say our goodbyes. If you are looking to continue your adventure in Italy, we’re more than happy to offer you some great suggestions on where to go and what to do next. You might even want to try another of our guided motorcycle tours Italy!

For this trip, your vehicle is: a Harley Davidson, a Kawasaki, a BMW, a Ducati, a Agusta or a Guzzi motorcycle.

This price is intended by person and for a pair of a pilot and a pillion.

  • To ensure the utmost attention to each traveler as well as the safety of the group this tour is available only guided. Specifically, the personnel traveling with the group is: with 1 to 4 bikes:
  • Tour leader on his own motorcycle who opens the motorcycle line with 5 to 6 bikes
  • Luggage van with chauffeur with 7 to 12 bikes:
  • Tour leader on his own motorcycle who opens the motorcycle line rearguard steward on his own motorcycle who brings up the rear luggage van with chauffeur
  • All of our staff speaks English.
