Paris - Reims
We’ll kick off our motorbike touring in France by departing our hotel and picking up our motorcycles. The bikes are tuned up and the GPS routes are calibrated so you’ll be ready to set off. We’ll quickly exit the famous capital and make our away along the small roads into the countryside. For lunch, we’ll stop at a local restaurant and savor some of first delights. Then we’ll make our way into Champagne crossing vineyards and entering into the stunning Reims where will be greeted by the impressive statue of Emperor Charlemagne which guardes the astounding Reims Cathedral. We’ll then make our way to the cellars of Pommery before spending the evening in a lovely hotel near Reims.
Reims - Le Crotoy
It’ll be hard to tear ourselves away from the charming hotel and city of Reims, but we’re headed West to the sea to continue motorbike touring in France. You’ll be taken aback by the rustic and verdant scenery of the Vexin region. We’ll stop along the way at Pierrefonds, a medieval era French village packed with history. Afterward, we’ll be closing in on Somme Bay is known for its magnificent beauty and as a famous bird sanctuary. If we’re lucky, we may even be able to see the lovable seals that often frequent the area. Then we’ll have our own chance to jump in the water for a refreshing dip before we finish the day at one of our secret spots that features a truly incredible seafood platter. We have a few more tricks up our sleeves and from here, we may even catch a train before ending the night near Treport.
Le Crotoy - Deauville
We’re headed due South down the road the winds across the Haute Normandie and its seaside resorts on our motorcycle tour of France. The staggering chalk cliffs rise above us as we wind up the hills into Etretat (a must do for pictures). Here we’ll also enjoy one of their famous sweet crêpes before we continue on to arrive at the seaside town of Trouville. This delightful town is known for its “chocolate box” wooden houses. We’ll then make our way to our hotel and enjoy dinner before seeing the famous boards of Deauville and maybe even enjoying its casino as well.
Deauville - Normandy D-Day Landing Beach - Saint Malo
Today will tug at your emotions as we make an early start to ride alongside the famed beaches of the American D-Day landings from 1944 crossing places like Omaha and Utah Beaches. It’s hard to imagine from today’s serene beauty that incredible events that took place here. Then we are off to the one of a kind city of Saint-Malo. Known for its lively architecture and flamboyant atmosphere, this city of pirates is a truly magical stop. Just watch out for the seagulls who may be after your dessert! The day is not over just yet! We then ride over to one of the “Wonders of the West” of Mont-Saint-Michel- an incredible mountain which rises straight from the sea and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Mont Saint-Michel - Le Mans
We’ll admire the morning light reflected off the Mont-Saint-Michel before we leave for the Le Mas Race Car Track. Today’s a great day on our motorcycle trips to France as we cross forests, secret villages, and stunning scenery. It’s a day of relaxing and breathtaking beauty. We’ll stop off at the famous 24H du Mans Museum— a motor enthusiast’s dream filled will vintage cars and the stories and legends of the races and men who drove them. In the evening, we have a delightful night lined up at a sensational restaurant where dishes like rillettes du Mans along with boudins blancs a foie gras will truly dazzle your taste buds. This is France at its culinary finest and you’re sure to be delighted.
Le Mans - Versailles - Paris
After a delicious meal, we’ll enjoy a good night of rest before we are off for our final day on the road. Today’ we’ll discover one of the world’s most beautiful chateaus and experience Versailles in its total glory. We’ll explore the park, sail in the boats and visit the famous hall of mirrors. Versailles is truly a magical place and one of the most significant symbols of France. But we have a few tricks up our sleeves and we’ll show you some secret spots no tourists usually get to see. We’ll then have a gala dinner to toast our last evening in a hotel not far from the chateau.
Versailles - Paris
On our last morning, we’ll enjoy a relaxed motorcycle tour of Paris where we’ll salute the Eiffel Tower, cruise Les Champs Elysées, pass by the Louvre Museum and experience all of the great sights from Montmartre and the Sacré Coeur to the Pont des Arts and the Panthéon. There’s no better day to enjoy the city then savoring the downtown on Sunday when it is free from its usual traffic jams. We’ll return our bikes, a little worn out but well satisfied by this incredible adventure where we have made memories that will last a lifetime on our motorcycle trips to France.
