On this first day, we will be having welcome drinks at the hotel where you will meet the crew and your fellow riders while receiving a full briefing of the ride ahead. They will tell you everything you need to know about Cambodia motorbike travel.
You’ll also have plenty of time to explore the ancient temples of Angkor – the most important archaeological sites in Southeast Asia. Afterwards, we’ll all head out to dinner at an authentic Khmer restaurant to get a true taste of Cambodian flavor.
Siem Reap - Battambang
185km - 6h of riding
Unlike other Cambodia motorbike tours, we will quickly leave the city behind, we’ll head west towards the Thai border. We’ll ride a variety of dirt roads and winding trails as we ride past lakes and alongside rivers. We’ll stop for lunch besides a large reservoir before continuing to the old French colonial town of Battambang. You’ll even have the chance to sample some of the local rice paddy rats at one of the roadside BBQs! How does rat sound to you? We hear it tastes just like chicken!
Battambang – Pramaouy
Our Cambodia motorbike adventure gets wild today as we enjoy some thrilling trail riding into the “sticky lands” way up in the Cardamom Mountains. We’ll be crossing rivers, dive down steep grades and absorbing breathtaking views as we make our way into the gorgeous hamlet of Pramaouy. At night, we’ll feast on a traditional style barbecue at the guesthouse and maybe even enjoy a little game of volleyball with the locals.
Primary – Koh Kong
Our day of Cambodia motorbike travels jump starts as we wind through the jungle down an amazing dirt track. Brace yourself for adventure for we’ll be crossing the river on tiny wooden watercraft! We’ll be heading even deeper into the jungle as wind across creeks and hills ducking under the canopy and emerging out of the trail where we’ll relax for a few moments at the food of an amazing waterfall. Then we are back on the concrete roads as we make our way along the Thai border to Koh Kong where we’ll enjoy dinner and the night by the river.
After a few days of high-intensity riding, you’ll be ready for a little rest from our Cambodia motorbike adventure. Today is packed with great options. We can sunbathe on a beach, visit Koh Kong island, kayak through mangrove forests or relax at a beautiful riverside restaurant where we can borrow their kayaks and paddle out on the river and watch the fireflies emerge as the sun goes down.
Koh Kong - Chiphat
130km - 6h of riding
Our best of the best Cambodia motorbike tours has two choices for you today: the easy road and the hard road. The harder route tackles the ‘old smugglers trail’ which is filled with steep and tricky rocky hills, lots of quirky bridges, river crossings, bamboo jungle and some really fun singletrack trails.
The easy route sticks to the beautiful smooth roads that wind through the mountains where you can visit the impressive Tatai waterfall along the way. Whatever option you choose, there is no better way to experience Cambodia motorbike travel. In the late afternoon we will take cold beers down to the river for a little swim and relaxation.
Chiphat - Sihanoukville
160km - 7h of riding
We’ll cross the river out of Chiphat on small wooden boats in the morning and ride the dirt roads through the hills of sugarcane. After this, we then have some fun open sandy trails that lead into the jungle. We will have lunch at Kbal Chay waterfall before continuing onwards to jungle trails down to Sihanoukville where we’ll finish our Cambodia motorbike adventure with sunset beers on the beach!
