From the Danube: 9 Countries of Europe

There’s no better way to begin a trip to Romania then meeting up with our team and checking out the sights and sounds of Bucharest. You can check out the majestic Palace of the Parliament, the world’s second largest building! Or head into the old town to enjoy some delicious Romanian wine and local foods. You’ll enjoy the evening in a stunning hotel located walking distance from so many great attractions. What better ways is there to start your Romania tours?

Zoom out of the capital and into the Carpathian Mountains on this perfect introduction to the Romania motorcycle tours. You’ll cross the famous Transfagarasan Pass—one of the most loved motorcycle roads in the world. Then you’ll cruise into the medieval town of Sibiu ranked as one of Forbes Magazine’s “Most Idyllic Places to Live.”

Continue your journey through the Carpathians down serpentines roads and through the Transalpina Pass—Romania’s highest road at over 2100 meters above sea level. By evening, we’ll cruise into a beautiful winery and enjoy a night a gorgeous hotel in the middle of vineyard where will enjoy a delicious local style dinner and a wine tasting on the third night of our Romania tours.

Now we had towards the Danube on our Romania motorcycle tours and savor the incredible scenery between the famous river and the Almajului Mountains. We’ll then ride to a thermal resort for lunch, check out some ancient ruins and maybe have time for a little soak. We’ll then soar farther into the mountains jetting past the Domogleds before spending the evening riverside.

We’re headed into Derdap Park, 640 square kilometers of pure beauty on our Balkan travel adventure. We’ll check out the impressive Djerdap Gorge known as the famous Iron Gate. This gateway to the Carpathians leads to the birthplace of the largest river of the region. By evening, we arrive in charming Belgrade, Serbia’s capital.

After a great night in Belgrade, we’ll ride to Bosnia’s capital of Sarajevo. This fascinating city is the place where East meets West right in the heart of the Balkans. We’ll walk the medieval streets, savor the locals, and admire this lovely city.

We’re headed towards the Dinaric Alps whose tower snow capped peaks and gorgeous valleys will set the backdrop for today’s ride. We’re headed to the Jewel of the Balkans, Mostar. This town has incredible architecture, byzantine streets, and the beautiful Stari Mostar Old Bridge.

We’re headed to another historical city and UNESCO World Heritage SIte, Dubrovnik on our Balkan travel journey. Dubrovnik has grown in popularity recently because of its great weather, amazing food, and perfect landscapes. The ride there will be equally enjoyable as you soak up the Bosnian Stone Mountains and wonderful curvy roads.

Enjoy a rest day to take in the incredible pleasures of Diversity. You can check out the palaces and churches, the old town square, or enjoy the chic new bars and restaurants while getting a little break from the road.

Today you’ll enjoy cruising along the coast of Croatia winding along until Skadar Lake—the largest lake in the Balkans. We’ll then cross into Albania to discover Shkoder City—one of the most ancient and historical places in the country. In the evening, you can get a taste of the local cuisine and wines.

Today you’re heading straight into the marvelous Erzen Valley, savoring the twists and turns, hills and olives groves and picaresque mountain views. In Ohrid, you’ll discover not only the beautiful lake but also a collection of 28 myriads UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Lake Ohrid is also one of Europe’s deepest lakes and an amazing natural site with over 200 native species.

Time to zip into the limestone mountains of the country along an incredible ride as we cross into Greece. We’ll cross a gorgeous mountain pass that will land us in an ancient Greek city rich in history and culture.

We’re reading towards Bulgaria crossing the amazing scenery of the country’s famous national parks. We’ll then deep into the Struma Valley crossing the Mesta River which stands at the foot of a 3000-meter peak. We’ll then reach the popular ski resort of Bansko to spend the night in the gorgeous mountain landscapes.

We’re headed to the historical capital of the Second Bulgarian Empire. This old town attracts tourists from around the world to admire its outstanding architecture. You’ll also be able to check out a truly fascinating monument to communism before we end the night at an old castle. Here you’ll be walking distance to some charming restaurants and cafe with tasty local dishes.

Our last day on the road will be a perfect summation of the trip so far. We’re headed back into Bucharest where our Romania tours began crossing the gorgeous Danube River one more time along the way.
