Between the cigars, rum, and fascinating history, few islands in the Caribbean are as well-known as Cuba. On this immersive thirteen-day road trip, you will discover the charms of the City on a Havana car tour,to the secret sights in Vinales and its spectacular panorama and charming colonial towns like Trinidad located by spectacular beaches. Savor the rich culture and cuisine and get a taste of the diversity of Cuba on this one of a kind Cuba road trip adventure.

Day 1


20 km

One of our team members will meet you at the airport to help you make your way to your hotel— a charming colonial style boutique perfectly located in Old Havana on the famed Peña Pobre Street.

Day 2

Havana Exploration

At 9 am you’ll jump in a classic American convertible and enjoy a Havana car tour of the city with a local expert. You’ll visit great sights like the Plaza de la Revolución, Malecón, Tribuna Antiimperialista, and the great Morro Castle. Then, you’ll cruise through Old Havana where the guide will give you some great suggestions to enjoy dinner and live music in the evening.

Day 3

Havana Free Day

You have the day free to explore the city and we’ll give you plenty of tips for where to explore. At 5:00 PM, you’ll pick up your rental car (Peugeot 301 or similar) and can do a little cruising in Havana before you head out on your Cuba road trip tomorrow.

Day 4

Havana - Viñales

200 km

Time for your Cuba self drive tour to begin. You’ll head out of the city and towards the nature reserve of Las Terraza next to the cigar factory in Pinar. Once your arrive in Viñales, you’ll be able to enjoy sunset from the fantastic balcony in your accommodation, the villa Balcon del Ermitaño and enjoy its charming gardens and terraces.

Day 5


You have the day free to explore the area. We recommend hiking into the valley to visit the tobacco fields, farmers and stunning nature. You can also enjoy a bicycle or ATV tour along with horseback riding. Inside the city, there are many great restaurants and bars to enjoy the nightlife of Viñales.

Day 6

Viñales - Soroa

140 km

You’re headed to Sora on your Cuba road trip. You have two options— the main highway and the more scenic and adventurous route along the north coast. In Soroa, you can visit the great waterfall and the charming gardens of the city.

Day 7

Soroa - Cienfuegos - Trinidad la Casona (or similar)

410 km

Get ready for some serious cruising on the drive to Cienfuegos. Along the way, you can visit the Zapata Peninsula, where the disastrous Bay of Pigs took place. Then you head into the historic town of Cienfuegos before making your way into the coastal town of La Casona. Your boutique ranch style hotel is surrounded by lovely gardens and just a short walking distance from the city center.

Day 8

La Casona Free Day

There’s many great things to explore around Trinidad la Cosana today on your Cuba self drive tour. You can head into the Escambray Mountains and visit the In Topes de Collantes Waterfalls. You can also head towards the beach for a perfect sunset along with exploring the great downtown area.

Day 9

Trinidad la Casona Immersion

There’s so much more to explore here. We recommend heading into the stunning Ingenious Valley and visiting the Manaca Iznaga Hacienda. Then you can head along the scenic routes back into the historic towns and villages nearby.

Day 10

Trinidad - Cayo Santa Maria

230 km

Time to head towards the beach paradise of Cayo Santa Maria on your Cuba self drive tour. Along the way, be sure to stop at Remedios, a small town with a beautiful church and central district. You’ll be driving a beautiful coastal route that takes you to the island of Cayo Santa Maria where you’ll spend the night at the all-inclusive five star hotel of Grand Memories Santa Maria.

Day 11

Cayo Santa Maria

Take the day to enjoy yourself at the is great resort. You can enjoy the shimmering, transparent waters which are great for snorkeling and diving as well as a whole range of water sports. You can also head into the lush hills to discover the diverse wildlife of Cayo Santa Maria.

Day 12

Cayo Santa Maria - Havana

460 km

You’re headed back to Havana. You’ll pass through Santa Clara where we recommend a visit to the Che Guevara Museum and the historic town center. Then you’ll be back at your original hotel where you’ll return your car and have one last night in the capital.

Day 13

Havana Departure

Enjoy your last few hours in Havana before we transfer you to the airport according to your flight departure time.
