Day 1 San Pietro in Cariano
Arrival at Verona airport and transfer by private vehicle to San Pietro in Cariano, in the Lake Garda and Valpolicella region famous for Italian red wine.
You receive your Vespa scooter in the afternoon or the next morning, along with a helmet, the road guide, detailed plan and notes on your trip in English. This is followed by a briefing by Roberta’s team on the Vespa and your trip. The trip consists of four loops in the region leaving each day from San Pietro in Cariano.
Day 2 Loop 1: San Pietro in Cariano - South of Lake Garda - San Pietro in Cariano
75 km of roads – 2h of driving
On the first day of your Vespa trip, you go explore the south of Lake Garda, the largest lake in the country, located in the Italian Alps. You cross the green hills of Custoza, followed by the beautiful fortified villages of Valeggio and Monzambano in the Park of the Mincio. You then ride to Peschiera del Garda, a beautiful town located on the southern end of Lake Garda. This is your main stop for the day, where you will explore the town’s historic centre located inside the walls. You can also visit Sirmione, a small historic town located on the tip of a peninsula and the Grotte di Catullo, accessible both by boat and by road. You cross several pleasant villages on the way back to San Pietro in Cariano.
Day 3 Loop 2: San Pietro in Cariano - North of Lake Garda - San Pietro in Cariano
74 km of roads – 2h of driving
This loop takes you to explore the northern end of Lake Garda, starting from the village of Bardolino. Besides its lovely harbour and the promenade along the lake, Bardolino is also famous for its wine. You then visit San Vigillo in the Garda town, definitely the most romantic part of the lake. San Vigillo overlooks the Bay of Sirens where you can go for a swim. One can also taste olive oils directly from the producers at Torri del Benaco. Returning to San Pietro in Cariano, you will have the most beautiful views of Lake Garda at San Zeno di Montagna.
Day 4 Loop 3: San Pietro in Cariano - Verona - San Pietro in Cariano
50 km of roads – 1h30m of driving
On the third day of your Vespa trip, you ride along scenic roads that will take you to Verona, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Three of Shakespeare’s plays, including Romeo and Juliet, have been set in Verona. You spend the day exploring this magical city. On the way back, you visit the charming villages of Negrar and Montecchio before reaching San Pietro in Cariano in the evening.
Day 5 Loop 4: San Pietro in Cariano - Valpolicella - San Pietro in Cariano
87 km of roads – 2h30m of driving
Today’s itinerary takes you to explore Valpolicella on your Vespa. Valpolicella is famous for some of the finest red wines, including Amarone, Recioto and Valpolicella Classico. San Pietro in Cariano is at the centre of this wine region and you can visit some of the exceptional wine cellars in the area. Apart from the vineyards, it is also possible to visit the lovely Molina Waterfalls Park or to stop by Sant’anna di Alfaedo, a city famous for its sausages and traditional local cheeses from the Lessina area. Your guide Roberta also suggests that you stop by Grezzana on your way back, to explore the splendid Villa Arvedi and its characteristic Italian gardens. Back in San Pietro in Cariano for your last night in the region.

Return flight
